Hacked Accounts

Same here, i lost "Atramentis" amulet, and all my orbs...

Frustrating...

I cant play this game anymore. If I get hacked again, more of my hard earned items would get stolen and I would be screwed because no one does anything about it.

I got hacked last weekend. I did not do a single thing on the list that would allow them to hack me. I emailed them about it and they cant reset my character because it would "ruin the economy". Why don't they just reset my character and delete my old items? I like how this game will punish us for their anti-hack system failing.

ISPs use dynamic routing. If the gateway changes since your last login, it may appear that you are logging in from "elsewhere". E.g I live in Northern Ireland. My ISP is British Telecom. Last night this happened to me, and it said it was seeing a login attempt from Lancashire. Lancashire is an endpoint for connecting to the rest of the world, so i'm not worried.

Just checked my ip via this service, and it says my current gateway (location) is via blackpool, which is hundreds of miles away.

as long as you follow safe password guidelines and keep your pc clean,there isn't much to worry about.

I am getting this same thing and its friggen annoying. I run vir checks nightly and same with malware and everything else via 3 different programs. Yet lately i've been getting this same email blah blah blah china, locked fu unlock it. First things, changing password. See if this helps. I never go to websites that I dont trust and so i have no clue where they might have gotten my password. This is really disturbing.

create a new gmail or something, change your account to it, only use it for PoE, never give it to anyone else

I have read what you put and I also read what they wrote some of the users, by bad luck not understand much English, but I stole all the items, then there is no punishment for those who do, but neither we replace the items stolen .. . So what do I do if I go into the account and I have my stuff? Would I fuck and leave and play or do the same thing they did to me? I believe that most of those who steal are the items that they sell on Internet sites

Anyone else receive similar emails?

Someone from Great Britain (I live in Canada) stole all of my orbs and anything of value from my characters. Just thought you guys should know. I’m not upset, however it is unlikely that I’ll play this game nearly as much, knowing that it could just get taken away from me so easily. I don't mean this in any negative way, but I've worked much too hard to know that it was for nothing. I know some how this was a fault on my part, however this is the first game where this has happened. Great game, I know, I've played a ton since Beta release, I'm just going to wait until the security issue is fixed or something until I come back.

TL;DR - My account was hacked, much was stolen, and I'm going to restrain from playing until this gets sorted out. (I'm sorry if this was a waste of time for you to read.)

My account was hacked into aswell, all Orbs were taken.

- The email was not compromised
- All my passwords are different
- The unlock email (I am at a different location than usually) did not show anything out of the ordinary.
- All orbs are gone.

The GGG servers are compromised. I will not play this game any further until a thorough investigation is conducted with help of a security consultant, preferably someone who actually has a clue. The results of said investigation are to be posted online.
