It would be easily fixable by just tracing the way all the stash goes and if trades happen where person X gets orb for 0 return then things are quite clear. But they just don´t care :)

I also find it quite ... strange ... that people from GGG support staff openly say they multibox. (See a past reddit thread about that). Have such people also a plain view on my email/password?

If YOU have to change your password everytime you enter then I suspect the problem is on YOUR machine, or your router. If it was a problem with the game server then everyone would have the problem.

A hidden program is probably running on your machine that is telling someone all of your passwords as soon as you change them. Get your machine checked.

We're now seeing an increase in the rate at which the attackers are stripping these accounts of their valuable items. As soon as we had the realm stability issues sorted out, we started work on new account security measures that should make it difficult for attackers to use stolen passwords to access your accounts.

It would be nice if players who have been affected try to help identify the "main" ways these hacks have been happening.

Stop all the "it's GGG's fault" and I'm 100% sure my comp is safe (which is impossible to know for almost everyone) nonsense.

He's apparently got everything figured out, just do what he does and there will be no issues.

That's a load of crap because this is exactly what I do and my account was accessed from none other than China and all my stuff was taken. I don't use "map hacks" or "infected software", I don't access "fake websites" because I know of the scams and methods used and I don't fall for that crap.

I find it a bit strange that for having experience in 40+ mmos, PoE is the only game I have gotten my account compromised. I have played WoW, GW, D3, Tera, and many more and never had an issue with any. I also find it strange how someone can access a players account and take their stuff before the account lock happens, why not lock it the moment they try to access it?

I expect to get flamed by fanboys or mods trying to protect the game name by making me look like the bad one but whatever. The fact is: This game is not secure and it can happen to anyone and "using cheats" is not a good enough excuse.
