Hacked Accounts

I have my account linked to hotmail, which also has a 2 step verification like gmail.

The one who did this, obviously did not log in from my computer, so he had to input the security code which was sent to my e-mail address.

So my e-mail had to be compromised right? Can't be, when i try to log in to my e-mail from another computer (or even another browser) it asks me for a code which it sends me via an SMS (and no, my telephone has not been stolen).

Figure me this: how did my stuff get hacked/wiped/stolen?


P.S. New computer, nothing pirated and no shady stuff installed. Antivirus says i'm clean.
P.S.2. My second account, which is also played from the same computer, is untouched. All currency/uniques are still there.
P.S.3. Not that is matters, all game accounts and e-mail addresses use different passwords, it's not my first time on the internet.
P.S.4. Will stop playing the game now, and regret my previous purchases, although I like the game (a lot), I don't feel secure investing my time and money in this any longer.
P.S.5. Just a stupid theory: GGG, your data IS compromised OR your security system has holes in it, and the only counter-argument you've brought so far is "but admins/moderators have not been hacked" yeah well that's because it would pull way more attention than the "hackers" would like. You better realize that this can't be a purely client-side problem.
