never thought it would, but actually happened during last night:
i got hacked as well. i didnt use 3rd party stuff or click any suspicious links,nor did i download any software. email passwords wasnt the same as my poe password. this fucking suxxx. the worst thing is that they just vendor'ed all the rares for orbs. some of them were worth alot, but i guess this doesnt sell as good as orbs.... i wrote a email to GGG, but i dont know what will happen. does anyone of you have experience with getting their stuff back? rerolls? logs? this is a f2p game in beta status, i dont know how serious they are looking into it. hope they can do anything about that. GG |

Hacked today too.
Today found letter in email "Password reset" and it's mark as "Read". Result - naked character and empty chest. |

Just a note to everybody who has been hacked:
Check your login activity logs. I know that in gmail this can be done by clicking on the little "details" link in the bottom right corner. If the activity log shows IP addresses that don't belong to you, it means your email account was compromised. If the activity log is clear, it suggests a deeper issue with GGG's security. Well, my account was hacked and my stash emptied and all the gear down to my baby toons stripped off them, don't think I have the will to start from scratch. Hope you castch up with these jerks and fry their computers. Best of luck all.

Just got hacked this morning. All currency gone.
Your Path of Exile account has been locked because someone attempted to log in from a location that you don't typically play from - "Sanming, Fujian, China". Can GGG just block IP addresses from China or at least lock your account for say 12 hours so you have time to change your details. |

This shit is getting outta hand.
Dont fucking tell me that its everyones fault except GGGs. Btw, why would they hack top tier players and devs? Its just plain ridiculous thinking. You would track and smash them down faster than you fart. But why give a shit about the low midtier class that farms the shit out of this game sometimes and the only thing they get is a fucking hackdown and a total disappointment in the game. You shall lose more players, be certain of it. I will still play, even trough all this, I like the game and I hope you guys will do something about all this. |

I've had two attempted logins on my account from California. Apparently they failed both times since all my gear is still there. However I have no idea why I was targeted. My friend invited me to play the game last week and I've hardly talked or messaged anyone outside the game. I haven't received any phishing emails and I run Malware/Virus checks regularly. I'm only a level 22 on Hardcore, which may be a reason I still have my things (If they managed to log on it). Already changed passwords.
Any thoughts? |

my account has been hacked my user account was boya86 is currently being used and I'm using it I had to create me a new email and a new account. I want to report that I have hacked the account. Yesterday I was playing and it was connected to my old account. I hope to help soon, thanks
