[0.10.4] HC EK Tank Marauder (The Bloodfather)
" Cheers mate, glad you're enjoying it! " It was a mix of stupidity and an insane Piety. I was in a Temple map (71) with -23% to resists and i entered her room with out knowing that it was her room. I had a bunch of champs around me and suddenly i noticed i had 3 shock stacks on me, my health dropped to around 35% so i pop my flasks and run away. One second later she spawns the lightning orb right on top of me, while being 3-4 screens away, and 1 shots me. I never really stood a chance. My group usually avoid her completely when we do temple maps, but we entered a room filled with champions immediately, which usually means that it's NOT Piety's room. Oh well, you live (or die horribly) and you learn! My Supporter Pack list compensates for my small penis.

A 117 point build? Is that even possible?
| |
" It is yeah! This is a very late game build of course. But it's something to aim for. I believe the build can be very flexible, especially while leveling. You could go for less health nodes to get to IR and IF for example. My Supporter Pack list compensates for my small penis.

Does ek do more dmg then fp?
I have a Templar running FP but noticed in my gearing I got all Armour gear and not Armour/es so I can't run all my auras. Maybe I can reroll maurauder and run ek? I did get eb on Templar |

" It's actually perfectly doable to transition between FP and EK. My off-set weapon had FP and GMP for very dangerous physical resists maps. The difference between FP and EK is that FP requires good positioning to get the shotgun effect from LMP/GMP. The damage is probably pretty much the same otherwise. Edit: Sorry i misread that. I personally feel that marauder fits this build a lot better than any other class, but it's probably doable on templar. My Supporter Pack list compensates for my small penis. Since I use this build now for a while now I wanted to give my feedback:
Overall it's a really solid build and I have been enjoying it quite a lot so far (level 77 HC right now). I went the spelldagger + spirit shield route thus far since I haven't seen a propper shield drop yet. I used a bit of a different gemming setup which seems to work quite well for me. The best part about this build is the durability since it scales so well with HP items. The downside is the slow "attack"speed which has the downside of being locked into the casting animation and you have to be really careful not to cast in dangerous situations. This could be countered with castspeed rings/necklaces, but trying to get these seems to be really expensive. A big thanks for posting this build since I really have a lot of fun playing it. I suggest anyone trying this build to get a 5Link armour tho as you really want to support your EK as good as possible. I run with EK, Faster Projectiles (safer from distance to cast), Leech, Blood Magic and Added Fire. | |
" Appreciate the feedback, Xezz. Everything you mentioned is very accurate indeed. As explained in my first post, the way i dealt with the slow "attack" speed was to go for faster casting instead of faster projectiles. It is a bit riskier for sure, but it does help keep you moving and fluid. And just like you said, getting rings, amulets and even wands with faster casting is indeed very hard still. I think it will become easier as time goes by, but the HC league is still young. My dream wand would be 15%+ Cast Speed and 20%+ Faster Projectiles! I'm runnin with high quality faster casting it helps a lot with c.speed, can be a bit dangerous aswell though as relidar said.
Oh and did you mean something like that: ?:D could have a bit more spell dmg though :\ |
|
" There you go! Indeed, a little more spell damage and you're pretty much set for life. But that's a very nice wand indeed :) My Supporter Pack list compensates for my small penis.

yo currently running your build (lv 45). I've tried various marauder EK builds and i like this one the best. I like the idea of using faster casting instead of faster projectiles because it allows you to stick and move far more easily. As the one guy stated, i have to pick up 4 reduced mana to run 4 auras correct? And should i go for skill point or oak physical dmg?
