jasio1234, there are different builds for a reason. Yours might be better suited for your play style, but i really enjoyed playing mine. And to be honest, i don't see how my spec is not optimal? Every single point is serving a purpose.

Either way, i think you've posted in this thread before, and i don't think we got anywhere with that discussion either. Let's just leave it at that :)

I have 2 posts on this account (now 3).

Critical strike dmg is useless, later on resist from armor would be much better, dont know if u use reduced mana but with it 20% from passive is also useless coz u get 1% for every 10% passive(lvl 16 gem). Evade perk also -> without any passives, wands give huge bost later on with spell crit chance(same as daggers for phis/need good wand or be lucky). Can hit 15% crit chance without any passives(tested only on magic items) :)

But w/e ek mara is really viable and everyone should change it to own play style :)

Hey little update from my post when I was 66, I am 77 now and feel like the build is mostly finished out besides getting more life, regen, and resist nodes as I go now. Currently I am around 4.9k dps and a little over 5k life.

Current Gear

Endurance Build

Really liking the 7 endurance charges, with them up I am over capped on resist enough for ele weakness maps, at 90% DR so reflect is no problem, and at around 423 LPS so haven't had to give up added fire for leech.

Thanks again for this build. It is a lot of fun with many ways to tailor it to your own play style.

switched, that looks good man, I'm glad you're enjoying the spec. (or should i say, play style!) I never tried the EC route my self, but i can only imagine how tanky you can become with 7, holy crap! I like the gear as well, good job.

Very nice build. Looking forward to making my main char this. I have a question, what level do you start to use ek? And early on should u just use the typical ground slam? Or can you start using ek early

It really depends on your gear and if you are ready to make the switch. The biggest issue is having enough int to support the better wands, but other than that, you could technically transition over when your gear and gems can handle it.

As mentioned before, i went for Inner Force first and transitioned to EK a bit too early. It wasn't impossible, but i think i would have been better off waiting for IR first.

I have got my LA marauder to same lvl 62 but I just find EK much better for me, as I dont like glass cannon lol!

With EK just feels so much safer!

Now I just need to get better cast speed equipment to make it feel better for me =)


Anyways, have you changed your equipment and gem layout recently? I have followed ur gem layout on page 1, just wondering if you have updated it.

I died a few weeks back on my marauder and i don't play softcore at all. So that character will never change, sadly. I am considering leveling a new one with the exact same build though, as i enjoyed the build quite a lot.

I'm currently playing a Elemental Cleave Marauder and an EB EK Witch. I'm gonna level both to 80 and then start on the new marauder i think.
