can anyone on softcore try HoGM with new downscale system and post some video?
i would do it, but have only characters on hardcore, so don't wan't to lose whole character
thx

Isn't HoGM a death trap due to PvP scaling instead of zone downscale? That's why you still need to scorching ray your way in HoGM since it's an exploit for PvP.
idk, never tried it, don't we have scorching ray totems? :)
or summons dies from 1 shot there?
Tried it once before patch and they massacred my spectres like nothing. Perhaps with the new no-level-scale, our lv84 spectres can have more life to tank somewhat but I am not so sure.

I think at least one player confirmed already clearing HoGM with this build but used a scorching ray link as main skill instead. You can check the thread.

In 3.0.2, we fixed a bug where Desecrate would choose from any possible monster that could spawn in the current area including those that you had as Spectres, but noting that it could not spawn monsters that could never spawn in that area (such as non-map monsters). This was especially confusing due to the fact that there are some monsters that share the same name between their campaign and map versions but are technically different monster types.

The reason why we fixed this was because it was very confusing as to why some monsters could be created with Desecrate if you had them as a Spectre, but others could not be (depending on what area you were in). There wasn't an internal list, it was just due to the unclear way Desecrate worked. We received a lot of complaints in 3.0.0 about how confusing Desecrate's behaviour was, due to the fact that 3.0.0 contained a lot of monsters that shared names between campaign and map versions while technically being different monster types.

The fix to this in yesterday's 3.0.2 update was to make Desecrate work how it was intended to work originally, where it summons monsters from the actual area you're currently in.

Community feedback has shown us that players found the prior behaviour very important, so we are explicitly changing the formal behaviour of Desecrate to: "Desecrates the ground, summoning corpses and dealing chaos damage to all enemies in the area. The corpses will be chosen from the monsters in the current area and any Spectres that have existed in this instance."

We expect to release this change early next week. Thanks for your feedback.

This is a buff.

The buff is not live yet. At the moment, you still have to summon them from maps where they specifically appear as monsters like overgrown ruin etc. Buff will be live early next week according to Chris.
what do u guyz think of using surrender shield and united in dream for this build?
which is better scourge vs united in dream?
why tukohama? what does spec benefit from tukohoma? wouldnt surrender be a better choice?

the Tukohama vanguards profit from it if you have necromantic aegis skilled on the tree: +1 totem casted by each TV.

United in dream does not benefit our build. Wicker man and Vanguards deal damage mainly from burning, but not hitting. Actually they don't even get much chance to hit anything. Therefore poison/envy aura/leech on the weapon is useless for them. I think that is also why we don't even run any auras at all.

On the other hand, we can get more inc damage from scourge, AND the wolves. Yes, it says "on kill" and we actually do not kill anything by ourselves. But due to the burning bug (years old bug), monsters killed by our minions' burning is counted as our kill, and that sustains around 10 wolves in maps, which is a nice addition to DPS and clearing.

The surrender is nice, but the price makes it just not worth. A rathpith globe/lioneye or a rare shield is mostly enough.
OK, guys, i did some tests here.

Raised a Specter. Went into town, took off the item where the Spectre gem was, replace the item for another one and replaced the gem IN THE SAME POSITION in the new item. Spectre was not lost.

After that, i did the same thing but placed the gem in a DIFFERENT POSITION. Spectre was lost.

Edit: bad use of english (sorry, not native english speaker).
