Loving RF right now, and I've also got farther than my previous RF builds. Got some sweet items, but have soo much room for improvement. Helms are crazy expensive. I don't know if I am better off crafting one myself or just saving up. Either way I'm having a blast burning!

if your on a budget, which you really shouldn't be with hiest in the game, use sixteenthspy's setup. its prob the best cost effective vs gear vs efficiency

Thank you sir I appreciate it XD

First result at crafting a +2 ammy. Not good but also not terrible. Still needs Fertile Catalysts.

Also upgraded watcher's eyes. Switched to a lvl 1 Vitality and now I can run Aspect of Spider as my 4th aura! Everything feels good.
Looking for some guidance toward my build, sitting at 8400 life with 6 endurance charges, but really struggling in Heists, seem to be dying very quickly and my life is spiking alot.
Playing as chieftan and considering making the change to jugg.
If anyone has any suggestions what to improve or whether its just worth sacrificing a bit of dps for the jugg tankiness.
Just got gear and gems all sorted and wanted to stop in to say I am loving the build and this amazing guide. I have followed it very closely and the only devitation was the Replica Atziri's Foible which seems to be what most are running as Amulet this leauge. Last step is 3rd aura and enlightend but dont need it just yet and gives time to save currency!

About to get serious into atlas completion but I am very confident this is the build for me after trying soooo many different things (mainly melee) and always getting stuck at the deeper parts of the game...

cheers!

Hi.

Always saw this as a really awesome build and wanted to try this myself.
So far I'm really enjoying the tankiness of the build but I feel that with high tier maps my singe target dps is quite low and the AoE could be a bit bigger in my opinion.

I'm not sure how to improve that and the only thing I can think of is to adapt a second cluster jewel set.

Is there any other way that I could improve the build as it is now?

I'm not very familiar with the build itself so I'm unsure how to proceed from where I stand now with gear etc.

Thanks.

At work so I only took a look at your gear and not your tree but I have some ideas that could help you out! First off I want to say that gem levels are HUGE for RF. You should get a 21/23 VRF as soon as you can. Your helm is nice but You should really be aiming for a helm with Horror Essence (30% MORE elemental damage). A 5l with Horror is better than 6l without Horror. I pulled this straight from the guide on the first page.

Midrange/Highend:

Ultimately, you want to upgrade to an essence crafted helmet. Horror mod will give you 30% more damage.

Horror + Conc (cheapest)
Horror + Burn
Horror + Burn + Conc/Inc AoE (expensive)
Horror + Burn + Conc + Inc AoE (mirror tier)

With that being said, having an open prefix on your helm is HUGE. It allows you to craft +1 socketed AOE gems. More gem levels and AOE! You can also craft more AOE on your gloves and Amulet slots. Now I’ve never used Replica Atziri’s Foible, so I know nothing about it, but with a hunter/warlord amulet you can +1 to fire gems and +1 to Int gems. Another 2 levels for RF! You also want to make sure you quality up your rings, ammy, and belt with Fertile Catalysts. You’ll gain more hp and regen.

Those are a few things I’ve thought of at the top of my head. I can take a better look when I’m actually in front of a computer. You’ve got some nice gear, but I think my advice will really smooth out the edges on your build. I hope this helps!
Thanks for the quick reply!

A lot has happened after my first post.

I did my first Cortex map and happened to find Bottled Faith which in itself improved my single target quite a bit.

Second change that I did was I managed to squeeze a Thread of Hope with a medium ring to grab the 50% increased elemental damage node on the left side of the tree.

Third and propably the most impactful change I did was to swap out Orb of Storms to Storm Brand + Increased Critical Strikes. The tick rate with Storm Brand is more than twice of Orb of Storms and the crit chance % more than doubled with it. It made a significant improvement to my boss dps with almost permanent and far more reliable Elemental Overload uptime.

Lastly a funny thing happened 5 minutes ago is that a SECOND Bottled Faith dropped from my 2nd Cortex map. :D

Have to say this is my top 1 build to play in PoE to date and absolutely loving it! Able to do fully modded double damage mod maps and I can't even feel a thing. Feels really great to be so powerful that all I have to do is run around, drop Storm Brand and watch the world BURN!

Thank you very much for this guide. :)

PS: I'm still unsure about how I've routed my skill tree and I have that itching feeling that there might possibly be some small improvements on routing that I'm not seeing. If you don't mind taking a look and provide any comments?

EDIT: I also managed to double corrupt myself a 21/20 Vaal Righteous Fire gem as well.

Friend of mine found this base in a grand heist. Threw a few scorched fossils at it and hit T2 fire multi and T1 fire damage. Annulled off fire damage to attacks and accuracy. Multi Mod and call it a day!

Hi all,

this league i didnt touch RF yet.

But as someone who had mainly played RF the last 5-6 leagues and the delay of next league i am thinking about giving it a shot again.

There are two options for me:

- change my SC Heist Chieftain to RF on a high budget (by selling all my gear and stuff in my stash i will have ~ 300ex on my hand)

- start fresh in HC Heist (have some currency for twink gear already from my first char, which was flame wall / fire ball and made it to maps); i am very interested how new vit aura and new items enable low level RF playstyle

So to give me some information for proper decision making, i would like to get some feedback on:

- what are the biggest changes with impact on playstyle (mechanics, new items, alternate gems,..:) this league? Or does the playstyle still feel the same (in this case i would try HC)

- how is high budget RF this league compared to delirium league?

I am appreciating every answer, but would like to get as well feedback from veterans like Zheng or Rha.

Best regards
Bernhart
