HI guys I've been following the build for sometime and I think I hit a wall on my progression. Can someone advise me what item to upgrade next?

BTW thanks rhah for the guide

Cluster jewels and bottled faith for damage. I am still new to character but they were the best things to save up for for sure. Oh and getting the horror mod on helm is another big damage boost.

Thanks for your advise
Well I did it! Finally beat Sirius. I lost my first try with this character just at level 5 and did it with only one death the second time around at level 5. This may not seem much to many but i have had serious go's at this with a number of characters and never got the kill. Some of those characters needed more skill on my part lol very strong characters alone.

The final little tweaks to gems and getting 8k life as well as bottled faith and decent flasks were the difference between in making this character feel comfortable. Keen to push it now and get a few more levels and then Sirius 8 and other endgame things i have never dreamed of. It is great in hiests i have pushed it pretty hard powerleveling and unless i am slow it makes it easy.

Stoked with guide and build!
Getting good large cluster jewels is a real pain. Gotta have three mods or where they fall makes pathing crap. Or at least I'm too poor, so I just bought 8 passive ones and used them to seat decent mediums. Basically Flow of Life and something else that does damage. Burning Bright and Flow are too much atm.

It took a lot of me to farm enough currency to buy this (40ex) lol but it's really worth it since I first read ur guide on this league I immediately fall in love with RF. Thank you for writing this detailed guide.
Hello,

This is my first time trying RF. Trying to find the right balance of following the guide as closely as possible, balanced with very limited playing time and currency (current wealth after getting helm. 1 ex and a dozen choas). In Red Maps, I'm getting clobbered.

Large cluster jewels with the right nodes seem to be 8 Ex plus. I can probably farm up a couple ex, but beyond that price, it will eat up all of my playing time. These were the best I could come up with (linked my POB pastebin below.) I know there are some wasted nodes. Am I better off without those jewels and points otherwise in the tree?

I did see the note:

3. Cluster jewels will likely be a lot less accessible without harvest crafting, so start with "no cluster jewel" setup.

but I don't see where I find that particular setup.

I haven't got my uberlab yet, that's next on the to do list. The pantheons are placeholders - not sure what would work the best there.

My goal isn't to do anything really difficult - just be able to farm high level maps without a lot of dying and a lot of clicking. Too much clicking and these old hands cramp up and I have to stop playing for a few days.

Thanks for any advice you can give me.

The no cluster jewel setup is in the PoB profile under the build section of the first post. Once you load that PoB into the Community fork, the dropbown along the bottom has 2 cluster DPS, 2 cluster defense, 2 clusters Thread of Hope, and no clusters.

Also for the large cluster jewels, I personally just bought 8 passive with fire damage and rolled them myself to see if I could get lucky. I didn't, so I'm just using the 8 cluster to have quick access to a pair of medium cluster jewels. Burning Bright + something decent or Flow of Life + something decent seem to be 20-30c, so not bad. I thought that was the best investment to start.

RF friends! I made this helm to try out rf as my end of league build. should i keep rolling for burn or is this enough for endgame?

Hello.

It' been while and this is my last update for my take on RF Chieftain and it has been hell of a lot of fun. I'm currently 2 bars in lvl 99 and I'll try to see if I can make it to 100. I've never had a build that's been enjoyable enough to go min/maxing.

I think I found a good equilibrium between damage and defence and won't most likely upgrade this character any more. Extremely tanky and quite honestly very decent damage as well. Most fun I've had with PoE to date.

TLDR: Very expensive to min max but well worth the investment and extremely relaxing playstyle. Able to mow down pretty much the majority of content with ease. Just run along the maps and pick up loot while everything around you dies. Suits the league mechanic Heist perfectly.

Simulacrum 20/20 - deathless
Awakener lvl 8 - deathless
Elder/shaper/Uber - deathless
Guardians - deathless
Delve - 300+ atm. Starting to encounter tanky rares at this depth.
Still cruising and going to delve as deep as I can.

Mapping - Fast (requires fairly big investment to get fast clear)
Bossng - Average, but map bosses and all guardians just basically melt.

Defenses are:

85/80/80 all res
19% chaos / 74% chaos DoT res
8.5k life (9k life and a bit more damage if you drop Soul Of Steel from the tree and spec into life nodes. I prefer +1 max res, build feels much tankier).

PoB shows 2.36mil for regular RF and Vaal RF 8.31mil.

For secondary skill I went with Flame Wall for a "set and forget". Standing still while channeling feels awful and got me into close 1-shots occasionally and I don't have that much mana to begin with. 33 unreserved mana feels just enough to satisfy shield charge, flame wall and storm brand.

Mana is tight because we are reserving basically 99% for the following auras with lvl 4 Enlighten and 15% reduced mana reserved from shield:

Malevolence, Divergent Purity of Fire, Vitality (lvl 3) and Aspect of The Spider.

Shield has a lot of potential to increase max resistances but price is not really worth it unless you have infinite currency. This shield cost me about 6-8ex

I went with the aspect on boots since I could craft life regen during any flask effect and get +0.4% regen from the catalyst. Also nabbed myself a really nice abyss jewel with Onslaught and Phasing on kill + some dmg / max life.

Gloves for life, res, dex (as much as I can) and + AoE gems. Chest I preferred +1 max res corruption over 40-50% dmg because it was significantly cheaper than the latter and I enjoy tankyness more.

Ammy with the new replica Aziris. Massive chunk of life, less requirements + life recovery. Rings for +1 endurance charge and chaos res.

Weapon was really nice purchase with bonus T1 attack speed since I can't find room for faster attacks. Others just buff RF nicely.

Helmet was the most expensive piece to upgrade to it's final form and I thikn it was 45ex when I bought it. I tried crafting it myself but trying to buy those essences in bulk is just horrific experience so I farmed the currency. Damage shoots up significantly with conc/burning dmg + % more ele. Really makes the build feel powerful.

Paired with 21/20 Vaal Rf, Awakened AoE + Ele Focus and Empower lvl 4. I went with Empower over Efficacy since I hit a comfortable 30 aoe radius with it with slightly lower dmg. Just feels nicer to have clearly bigger aoe over about 100-120k more dps.

For flasks:

Bottled Faith not necessary but I found 3 of them this league so I kept one for myself. Rest are utility/damage.

My PoB for those interested: https://pastebin.com/SFVt7RKQ (I think I have it configured right. Let me know if I've messed up something).

Would definitely recommend and every upgrade really takes the build closer to godhood. More you spend, more you get out of this build. :)
damn how do you deal with dexity requirements, spending two points for dexitery now, such a pain
A casual gamer
For dex the minimum you need is 68 for Malevolence IF you have Replica Atziri's Foible. It lowers the gem/gear attribute requirements and you can easily get a single piece of equipment with around 45-ish dex and you are good to go.
