If global manmade climate change is actually real, and a serious threat, then the entire world needs to follow a strict set of rules, enforced by trading sanctions, and military force.
As long as extremists leftists insist only the USA (and a few other countries) need to actually follow the rules, and most of the world can do whatever, then I will firmly believe manmade climate change is a hoax.
Just China & India alone will exceed all current global pollution in a few decades. Not to mention all the other countries that get exemptions in every hoax climate deal.
I belive experts because I can't know nor do I care to know everything. It's like my laptop has a bad battery evidently I'm not about to open it up to fix it. I stay in my lane and called Dell and they are coming to the house.
When all these PhDs in science are saying anthropocentric climate change is real I believe it.
All I know is how to dig holes in the ground, manage ppl, deal with city hall and a bit about geo politics. Not fucking science
I work for a lot of doctors and other smart people and when they try and tell me how to do my job I'm all " I come do your next surgery you can build this pool" They STFU

Hey hey, ho ho, I didn’t realize people liked Jeff Sessions so much.
Yeah that's a joke - remember he was barley confirmed he was racist and whatnot - they rode his ass whole time as Attorney general - now he's a paragon of wisdom, nobility and virtue.

I agree, and when the actions actually harmonize with their words, I'll believe in manmade climate change.
As of right now, their actions tell me it is a hoax designed to damage the USA economy and bolster the economies of China and all the other exempt countries.

Climate change is very real, and very much a serious threat. The "manmade" part is the kind of thing one could argue all day — mankind is certainly not 0% responsible, and certainly not 100% responsible, but regardless of speed a climate change apocalypse would be inevitable if we didn't exist, so it's kind of besides the point how manmade it is. The solution to climate change cycles must be implemented by men, or we risk the end of our species on this planet.
As I explained in my previous post, "green energy" propaganda has kept most activists and policymakers away from meaningful action and rendered them useful idiots for the energy lobby (and others) they believe, or claim, they oppose.
When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. If that's true, then should we not enact strict, world wide guidelines, and use trade sanctions & the military to enforce them?

In general, no, because free markets tend to promote innovation better than centrally planned ones.
However, I don't know exactly how one would privatize atmosphere, so it would probably make more sense for governments to charge a tax for carbon emissions and de-vegetation (on both individuals and businesses) and hold the proceeds in a "carbon bounty" fund. This money (adjusted for inflation) could be reclaimed by demonstrable negative-footprint activity, encouraging free-market development of carbons scrubbing tech (as well as reforestation, etc). Assuming we eventually bring our atmospheric CO2 below current levels, the entire carbon bounty fund should be given back to those who help solve the problem, not kept by government.
But none of that would work currently because world politics is infected by the cancer of state-sanctioned meritless wealth redistribution. There's no way in hell we could keep government from spending thàt fund instead of caving in to widespread pressure to smash the piggy bank.
So basically Marx is going to end up causing the extinction of mankind, unless we eradicate socialism completely.

I read an interesting article that proposed putting a man made sun blocker into the air might be a way to counter act the green house gas effect of carbon dioxide. I don't remember exactly what it was but part of the support involved some information gained after 9/11. After 9/11 many plane flights were grounded and there was some indication that atmosphere warming seemed to accelerate a bit. Of course, this would be a desperation move in that we would be doing something that could significantly impact our earth in unknown ways and pre-testing would not be possible. So it would be risky.
I did a Google search and found this article, although it is not the article that I previously read and was referring to above. https://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/science/2018/01/22/creating-clouds-stop-global-warming-could-wreak-havoc/1054026001/

Actually, both India and China are already set to exceed their climate pledges (yes, they have climate change targets as well) - http://www.climatechangenews.com/2017/05/15/india-china-track-exceed-paris-climate-pledges/

You're talking about geo-engineering. There's loads of ideas when it comes to geo-engineering. From space mirrors to atmospheric composition alteration to oceanic iron seeding and on and on. All extreme steps, mulled over and investigated only as a backup in case things get really dire. They're currently mostly not favored as approaches owing to innumerable risks, unless necessary. I suppose between reduction efforts and these would lie CCS - Carbon Capture & Storage, which is safe enough but a much more expensive option. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Climate_engineering
