0.10.3c Patch Notes
I don't see how increasing the loot timer with a full second makes this any more "fair" towards anyone. Aren't you just caving in to the complaints from people with slow reflexes?
Other than that, removing the names and magic items from the timer system seems to be a step into the right direction. Improved readability and hopefully less complaints in the form of "that was mine/her/his item, not yours!" Freaking love snatching items right as they come off the timer, or having something cool taken from right under my nose. We're exiled criminals who have to do anything to survive, not noble heroes who carefully decide who gets what... Besides, that'd slow down the pacing of the game to much anyway. |

Haven't had a look through every post in this thread, but in regards to loot timers, this thread has an additional travel time +10% added, while the updater patch notes list travel time + 5%. Which one is accurate?
I can't think of many situations it'd be too significant, maybe if you had high attack speed and ran leap slam or were using quicksilver flasks you could take advantage of timers (if you somehow had a large amount of items to pick up at once which never seems to be something to happen to me in groups). Also, any plans to maybe add a slight increase based on ping? Playing from Australia doesn't help with grabbing loot, although with the increased timer I doubt it'd be much of a problem any more anyway. Just bringing it up while I'm making a post. |

" I agree with this guy's thoughts. I feel that this patch was intended to try and hit a "middle of the road" approach for two sides and it didn't really do it at all. One second on the timer hasn't appeased anyone that I've played with that complained about timers. No names has caused even more chaos and bitching then before. Visibility, eh I'll take more time to form an opinion on this. |

>> Was it easier to read what items drop now that fewer are allocated and the size of the item hovers doesn't change?
Yes, its a lot easier on bosses and Chest for sure! >> Does the increased allocation duration help enough in terms of being able to grab items in time assuming you react quickly? Sure, it seems okay Thank you :) |

Just give us a toggle option for ffa loot and named loot. It is the only way to cater to everyone. There will still be groups labelled ffa and there will still be friends running together. My experience in ffa groups was always me attacking and 5 people standing around looting. Telling us how to play the game is one of the mistakes blizzard made. Don't tell me I should enjoy one system because it is "intended."

it seems there is a bug with this patch.
started the game and it updated on 0.10.3b -> if i try to log in it tells me that there is a new patch and i should restart to patch it -> the game don't find a patch and starts with 0.10.3b again and i get the same message again seems the problem ist that the patcher can't find the new update or something like this Last edited by DE3me#2347 on Mar 18, 2013, 3:21:57 AM

Yeah I don't understand this change to player names at all.
If I'm in a public group, I'm down for FFA. I understand going in that no one is going to save my drop for me and I'm here to loot whatever I can. But when I'm in a group with friends, I'm the most generous guy. "Hey Bob, you got a GCP over here you missed". Nope, say goodbye to that. Now I know that I looted a friends loot and have to accept it, or have a 2 minute discussion on who's it was or who it should go to. |

" I like the change, it tells players that they have to get the loot ASAP or else the timer could run out. If anything, it makes things *more* competitive and cutthroat, which is great. |

i like it, no longer will players assume they own the loot because it has their name on it. thank you.
