well i've been thinking about the looting system, even with names and the longer duration now, other people still "ninja" the loot because either 1. you're a bit slow and behind so you miss out, 2. lagging / desyncing and miss out, or 3. monsters and players in the way, creating ice walls to block you etc etc...
Why not bring names back and make the "named" drops go auto to your inventory? if the inventory is full, a list of party members names comes up and they roll a dice for it, highest number gets it, or you have so many seconds to open your inventory to toss an unwanted item to make space for the "named" drop.

many games have a party loot system where you roll for it.
at the moment when in random parties and someone steals your drop, and you talk in party chat about it, the thief either says nothing at all, or tells you to stfu and stop crying as they seem to think that poe is made like free for all looting.. but in reality if my name was on an item for example, it's meant to be mine.
or i can leave it if i dont want it, or tell someone to get it...

if GGG can make named drops auto obtained into backpack then no crying will be done... it's a simple solution and one that will work.

But anyways...

theres a small portion of every RPG user base that only enjoy gearing their characters and focusing their time towards the singular purpose of making currency even with no particular goals in mind. I forewent leveling and progression in almost every RPG game i've gotten into just to make currency and I didn't even spend it. Now with POE, all my friends have far passed me in levels and I've got nothing to show for it. I'm always far behind in leveling/progression in a lot of RPG games because I enjoy the magic finding/crafting/currency acquiring aspect more. The game is missing that element for me as there is no where to direct my focus to make even just slightly more currency than anybody else who is just leveling

Death only removes loot from bosses if you don't come back after dying.

yeah, maps system is based on RNG way to much, there was no games where your lvling is based on RNG, since it takes like 200 66 maps to lvl up...


to multiboxers - multiboxing is still working, just move your "afkers" near boss before killing him.

Why can't I cast Arctic Armour? is it because i am using blood magic? is this a bug or is this how you want Arctic Armour to stay like?
I don't multibox but I join instances where lots of people are and do my own thing as a way to simulate the /players X command. Maybe it's harder for the other players, but they get my loot when they kill their own things so I feel it's fair.

I don't play in parties because the loot drop tends to make you feel horrible - I hate being the one that does the most damage only to see something good/great drop for the derp that does nothing and just collects loot. Also the animation lag is horrendous when you play with a summoner or w/e, this patch is a real bummer wrt the loot drop updates.

i just linked only 3L wpn elemental dmg and life leech and my marauder cant compensate with regeneration to prevent suicide!
