0.10.4 Patch Notes
"+1 it was convenient being able to click outside a vendor window to cancel the transaction. So much easier to do then to find a tiny button in the top right corner. Computer specifications:

" " " Just wanted to say that the way you presented this was reeeeaallly confusing for me >_> dunno if it was the same for others but yea. So just to get it straight, the item drops are dependent on two (and only two) checks: the number of players within one screen-length when it spawns, and when it dies. The minimum of which is used. It looks simple, but for some reason it took me reading the above tidbits 5 times before I got it through my fool head @_@ I think the examples or some word choices might be a bit misleading |

" All good and happy with this change, however I do have an issue I would like to raise. I do assume it was probably insanely bad RNG but it does bring some things up. A friend of mine and I just ran 6 maps after the patch. For anyone who ever used arc/lightning arrow/spark/fork/chain etc, you all should have seen sometimes broken urns/barrels etc with some stuff dropping from them more than a screen away from where you are standing and fighting. After this patch, none of the urns/barrels/whatever breakable stuff that was offscreen produced ANY items. And since it was me using arc in this case linked with culling, iiq and iir gems (maps 50%+, personal iiq of 105 with gem, iir 226 with gem), I cant help but wonder, did maybe something fall through the cracks? Regards, S. \o

" Gonna agree 120%. 10 days ago I started running 4 instances on one comp. I did this because IMO the loot sys sucks and the currency is way over the top due to pro players with tabs full of currency. I want to be able to buy things so I need more "phat loot". I play a summoner. I play a summoner because desync sucks. when you have 30 summoned mobs runnin around desync doesn't really matter. I do maps because everyone says "do maps". The one exalted that dropped for me was on like a lvl 10 char. Why am I doin maps? So now they are attempting to nerf the casual multiboxer. They will never be able to effect the elite players who control the economy. So just what was the goal here? Now I will have to get all four summoners to a lvl able to survive long enough to kill the boss. By the way how close does my summoner have to be to get credit for being there? what about rangers. Half the time a ranger cant even see the boss they are firing at. Last edited by BarneyRubble#1447 on Mar 20, 2013, 12:41:38 AM

Multiboxers tears over this thread are hilarious, keep em coming, drinking them.

" drinkin other peoples tears? Yer one effed up hot mess. |

They support "multiboxing" and it's "legal". But they make a patch to deter players away from it.
They still do not care about our cry's for help and/or acknowledge anything about the loot system (http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/268683/page/34#p2319123) So please, what's the point of grinding in public map parties anymore when there is no "incentive" or "thrill" of snagging up some loot? You really do want us to play by ourselves but even in your trailer it says "Play with your friends!"? I simply do not understand, there IS NO point of grinding the docks anymore if there is no "thrill" of snagging up some loot, what a shame. I literally had the best time I ever had since diablo 2 ninjaing some items in pub parties, now it's taken away? This is why I will not donate. (and hundreds prob thousands of others players feel the exact same way) But soon, they will notice the drop rate of concurrent users and probably be like "hmmm" need more skills! Need more patches!!!! Need more bug fixes!! But they'll be wrong, everyone left cause loot system got nerfed, what a bad way to go out, GGG. But they're already stuck because if Chris or GG decides to change the loot system back, all the "Diamond Supports" or "Heavy donators" will be infuriated because they want this game spoonfed. Well let me say one thing, those supporters will not help you down the road, only your "We are hardcore diablo 2 players" statement will, if you live up to it. I don't even know why I bother posting tbh, it's not like they will listen to some rando kid like me, but it just infuriates me SO much that they facked the looting system up the ass because of some random qq's in the forum, I mean my goodness it was the best time of my life and a thrill to farm, now it's just go kill mobs and get spoonfed.... it's a joke guys. Edit: I kind of feel bad, they must think if we don't fix the loot system alot of "diamond supporters" or donators will quit, rage at us!!! Haha it's the exact opposite really, the majority of your player base will quit and you will be left with diamond supporters, perfect marketing strategy! Hopefully they realize this soon or it will be to late. Last edited by newman92#4876 on Mar 20, 2013, 12:48:24 AM

After reading about item drop in party. I understand that as long as you and your party member stay together the bonus still apply. Am I correct about this? (ie. the distance is checked between the person that kill the monster and other party member not the distance between you and the monster.)
If I'm correct and the distance is around 1 screen away. I would request to increase these distance to maybe 2-3 screen. Considering below situation. Player A,B,C,D fighting a boss. A -> B -> C+Boss <-- D C is a melee player while A, B, D is range. A is 1 screen away from Boss to the left and B is around half screen. D using his totem or long range skill to attack the boss and he may be more than 1 screen away to the right. If D took the last hit this mean there will be no bonus to item drop at all since no one is on the same screen as him. This situation happen quite often in group fight. If you want to prevent multiboxing please do it in the way that it doesn't effect us who play the game it should be played. Also it should be nice if there are some kind of indicator to show that how many party member are around you. Last edited by HighWindCZ#5121 on Mar 20, 2013, 12:45:57 AM

" It essentially means that if someone dies during any fight and the enemy dies while that player is racing to a Portal to return to the boss fight, then everyone loses out on the loot quantity bonus that that player would have provided if they hadn't died. I dont care if people multibox, however if you want to multibox, why dont you have a full group suited up ready to take the punishment rather then stand there and be a doll thats only reason to exist is to be present. So ya, every multiboxer tearing makes me laugh because this still doesnt mean you CANT multibox, it just means its harder to work toward.
