"Balancing" gets progressively more ridiculous every league.
I'm all in favour of proper balancing, but this team seem to think that remodelling a wall involves knocking every brick out of it each time.

They're like a bunch of painters who simply throw buckets at the canvas.

Totally overdone yet again for the umpteenth league in a row.
There's a distinct possibility for me that I'll be spending most of this league in Standard. Pretty much every type of build that I have enjoyed playing over the last few years has been decimated league by league, and yet the insta-death mobs increase and invisible ground effects are on the rise constantly.

Oh, and let's not forget the insane levels of lazily programmed RNG absolutely everywhere... MY favourite thing in Path of RNG.

Sorry, I have enjoyed this game for a long time now, but it's rapidly becoming a complete mess.
I loved Path of Exile.
I do not love Path of RNG.
Bloom gives me migraines, the over usage of darkness strains my eyes.
Save our game, remove all of the constant RNG and allow us to turn off Bloom or give us an in game brightness control!

Did you just quote yourself? Yeah, we got it mate the first time. Later, have fun on Wolcen.

Second Wind Support, does it work with cwdt-cooldown?

Archmage support, does the added damage works on minions?

1. No. CWDT is a support gem. Second Wind is a support gem. Both of those can only affect skill gems. They can't affect each other. They could work together to support a skill gem that has a cooldown. But using CWDT doesn't make the skill gem itself have a cooldown; the trigger cooldown stays with the CWDT support.

2. It's unclear. The news article that talks about Archmage support says that it "can be used with any spell that deals damage with hits and has a mana cost." So it technically should be able to support a minion gem, assuming the minion can cast spells, but it isn't clear how this interaction will work. Will it cast the minion and give the minion the bonus damage only once, on the first hit it makes? Will it cast the minion and give it the bonus damage on every hit it makes? Will it cast the minion and then cause the minion's spells to do additional lightning damage based on the minion's mana pool? The interaction hasn't been properly defined.
I do like the new stuff and changes.
I loved the necro (like the cyclone the other league) but its time to move on and try something different, thats part of the (my) fun.
What troubles you bring now?

Wat?

No did you not read the patch, this only means early game crafting is a bit harder. Important delve mods are simply being moved somewhere else, this is only gonna encourage more crafting methods if nothing else.

or gonna force crafting with fossils costly

I'm not worried about the Necro Nerf...They are still bad ass!!! There are plenty of ways around the nerfs, and I already have at least 4 of those ways in mind to compensate for this Nerf, that will still make this strong as hell!!! .....Nice try GGG, and the jealous crybabies who complained about Necro being too strong, But we are still going to rule!!!!

But that's the problem isn't it? Right now outside Necro minions are just plain bad, at least before they were manageable on other classes.

Well, GGG knows that if they nerfed Necros to the ground, they will lose a large percentage of their playerbase, because people want to play what is fun!!! You take the fun away and people will leave... Had they Over-Nerfed Necros, I would have been gone!! Why?? Because all other builds suck!!

You need to have at least one strong build that people want to play....

Most of the guys which played necro the last leagues were D3 people which just wanted to braindead faceroll anything, which was possible without gear or anything else. Minions were far to OP, more like a cheat to deal easy with the game. That's not what GGG want it to be....

Me for myself would also say most other skills/builds suck to their bad balancing, at most the melee skills no one is using. Atm there are about 3 melee meta skills which are Molten strike, Blade Flurry and Cyclone..... you don't see anything else to get played really, maybe some double strike and for fun some flickers, but that's it. We got over 40 melee skills so far, which feel mostly not worth it in comparison to the mentioned 3.

Haha, yeah I don't now quite how I managed that. All I did was edit the post and somehow I turned it into a quote.

Still, at least it provided you with some amusement, eh :)

Today, I think we could all do with some amusement in this thread of doom and gloom. P.S. Nope, no way I'm playing Wolcen. Zero interest. I have other games put to one side that I resurrect in case of leagues like this one.
Seen these kind of knee jerk nerf fests from GGG in the past. Eventually, after 6 weeks of a disaster league they seem to realise the mistakes that everyone else points out to them on patch note day.

Looks like GGG is responding to countless "I've never played necromancer theyre so broken" threads with this overnerf.

Yall crapped on survivability and 3 of our most commonly used gems without giving us ulterior means of gearing by hitting gems damage and mechanics like bound fossils affixes all at the same time, what even was the point of the big "minion update" if you were just going to harass nerf minions into non viability?

And why? because people overreacted to baron zombie clearpseeds of videos by people like empyrian(im not flaming empy i lov u bby) who have multiple mirrors invested in their gear(and still occasionally get one shot by league mechanics) Meanwhile trap/mine sabs and cyclone headhunter and bowdelver players still doing twice our clearspeed in maps and end game content with no real nerfs?

this is embarrassing GGG

also Please fix the GD ice golem gem its literally been since 2.5 and he still does spell and attack damage, PICK ONE!

I totally agree but it won't get better any time soon because:

- a lot of people don't want to play summoner but get super fomo about not having the best dps out there (even though there are Zerkers on poe.ninja doing 20m FB Shaper DPS with gear cheaper than what my AG is wearing);

- most streamers don't want/like to play minion builds and thus get less views when these are popular - some have been very vocal (despite having 0 clue about how summoners work);

- most sensational stuff in the Necromancer forum is either POB trickery or mirror tier gear;

- people don't seem to understand that as a summoner you probably have the least DMG efficiency out of all classes (not all minions hit everything all the time);

Last but not least, GGG has moved to a model (similar to what Valve's doing with Dota 2) that promotes some build/class for a limited time, sells the cosmetics for it, then overnerfs it to get it out of the way. They lose money if people play the same thing over and over again. Whether or not this is ethical behaviour or fair towards the community is highly questionable.

hopefully you quit so GGG can concentrate on something important again,.... less of your kind will add more resources to actually something which is in need.
