" Lol outliers. There is a reason the NBA's average player height trended higher every decade until the 'modern era' of basketball (1987+). The analogy is flawed af, but the idea that basketball has favored the short player over its evolution as a sport is wholly unsupported by any data. " I never said it favored the short (hurr durr), what are you smoking now? I was shitting all over that analogy of wanting to homogenize the nba (and harvest) for the masses.

Well I just edited my post prior to seeing your response, we agree the analogy is flawed but the idea that because you can name short players that his underlying premise is wrong is beyond false.
Anyway you still haven't unpacked what it is you like about trading crafts, the trading or the ending ownership of perfect gear at record levels of convenience. |

I did reply to your question on topic.

Here's a radical suggestion - if you don't enjoy doing something then don't do it.

" I have bought and sold 0 Harvest crafts, didn't even take the nodes on my atlas unless they were like points 9 and 10 and I wanted nothing else. I'm hoping GGG don't continue down this path, else I'll be playing SSF because I agree with you completely. But me abstaining doesn't change the inevitable rebalance of monsters around 10x 6x T1 geared exiles. At which point I'll truly be 'not doing it'. It being this game. I'm not super worried about it. While not quite as confident as some posters around here, I do believe they will make changes. This isn't like... Abyss or just some random mechanic. 'just don't do it'. We're talking about a core feature of the genre - itemization and gear progression. |

" This only a good suggestion if your playing SSF, because what you're doing in the game is not connected to anybody. But if you're in trade league & relying on most of your resources with trade, this is a less ideal solution because of "missing out". If you want your item to compete in trade with people who can fully take advantage of using harvest anytime they want & any craft, it felt you are compelled to do what they're doing even if you don't want to. And a lot of players felt this way (missing out) in some content of the game, that's why GGG added more content agencies over the past leagues. Exclusive rewards specific to content now drops with other content. Fossils no longer lock with delve, abyss jewels no longer lock with abyss, breach & legion splinters no longer lock in their specific content. Because people who don't want to run this specific content are now not forced to run them to acquire those rewards. So that statement "if you don't enjoy doing something then don't do it", though a good snarky reply for the past years, has now limited application. "A game IS supposed to waste your time but it's not supposed to make you FEEL like you're wasting your time:
It's supposed to make you WANT to waste your time." |
