0.9.9 Patch Notes

Im just playing since a short time but this really sounds awesome :D cant wait to start a new witch and this time go for a less random passive tree.

still i'd like to ask a thing or two for upcoming small patches.

- Strg+Left/Rightclick to fast put/take stuff into/from a stash/shop.

just me being lazy but when you have tons of small stuff its really annoying to put all piece by piece away.

- an autosort button in stash/ inventory (maybe 2 options. 1# specific sorting after item type. 2# to gain as much space as possible)

but at this point a big thanks for this awesome game :) im really happy that there are still games here and there wich are not just mindless where you dont need to think what your doing. cant wait to see how much more awesome your game will become :)

Awesome update, most needed changes on its way!

Anyway i have to say we need massive improvement on party play from now on.

Implementing D3's loot system would encourages players to party play.

I used to not mind the FFA system - but the more I play, the more I hate it. It encourages such crap player dynamics more often than not, I've gone from always looking for a party to less hassle just being on my own.

These days it seems like either

- An OP build looking for leechers - yeah, that's fun.
- You party up, but everyone just runs off solo - boring
- You party up, then people quit because of looting issues
- You party up, and then people bitch at you because you used a skill that can affect drops (Poison Arrow)
- You party up, then people bitch at you if you pick something up quickly - even though they are doing the same

Of all the times I've grouped, only with two people have I had fun where we did a 'Is there any type of item your looking for?' - we'd make a point to leave them on the ground for other people, would take turns on currency items - and if we picked up something we thought the other person would like, we'd share. --- it's hard finding ONE other player to play like that, let alone 4 or 5 - I've pretty much given up on grouping in this game.

GGG act 2 boss? Y/N
Massive patch notes, and gotta say - really looking forward to what's going to be coming out on Weds.

There are some things I'd still like to see - but understand that you guys only have so many resources and need to prioritize what comes out.

Really looking forward to the enemy AI updates - as much as I've been loving the game, I was getting a bit bored by time I hit my 50s/60s - so hopefully the new AI can help keep things interesting.

Outstanding! Can't wait to try this out.
Honestly, I am bit confused by skills and support gem design. You introduced totem/traps/mines support gems... and add new totem/traps/mine skills above of that.

Well..why? It's because there should be totem skills without using support gem? Or why you think it's really good thing to overcomplicate things? PoE has already very confusing system with orbs,..keystone passives and support gem which are doing same thing..now we have support gems which share functionality with some skills..

Support gems are confusing in general.. adding another layer of confusion wont help at all. What will happen when I will attach totem support gem on totem skill for example?

I love this patch.. but I think in the future, you will have to clear your systems a bit..while I know hardcore crowd like to speculate about millions of different options, but you said you want PoE to be game for wider spectrum of players.. and this can stop many new players to even try learn about your game.
I think we'll need to do a 'wait and see' (until Weds) to see how they actually work out. Maybe it's not as confusing as it seems.

The quickest way to get over the learning curve of this game is to simply play it. I know before starting and trying to read up on things I got really confused by some of the systems. But really, once you start playing and actually use them - they start to make sense.

I think the core of the mechanics are not that hard, and some of the only confusing things that remain can be cleared up with more descriptive tool tips. ie: Concentrated Effect doesn't affect DoT damage on PA - when reading the description on the support skill, this sounds like a perfect support gem for PA, it's not intuitive that it doesn't help the DoT portion.

WTB New Skill Tree before patch to plan ;)
Ok, I m officially scared now after reading the patch notes! I know we ve all been asking 'make the game harder, harder!' I can see us in a few days post patch crying 'make it easier, easier!' haha!
I can t wait to try all the new aspects of the game. I like the new coming features and changes, I think it s nice that we ll have to pay more attention to have a balanced equipment not just get away with damage and pure damage.
I m happy making new characters, meanwhile I ll go play and say goodbye to my old ones, I ve had a lot of fun with them.
I love this game and thank you for the new patch!
My guess is nothing would happen. Regarding the totem stacking, I mean. kaniz is right, once you start going through it it isn't that hard, though maybe some things are unclear. As far as I'm concerned, anything that allows a new option for us to use is a good thing, unless it is completely unbalanced, good or bad.

Following the discussion here, I do like what's been introduced in the patch, but I agree with what people have been saying, particularly about the fusing orbs and partying together.
While I understand that 6-link items should be rare, the fact that there is no way to guarantee one. It would be a lot less frustrating if there was a way to guarantee it - even if it was still is as expensive as all get out. Similarly a way to influence things like regals or exalteds may also be good, but to me that isn't as important as the fusing thing.
And the party situation is not good right now. Unless I'm friends with the people or am just trying to get through the game (in which case you end up with just one person usually, but that's okay still), the only reason I party with people is to increase drop rates - then we all split up or face the consequences of accidental or deliberate loot-stealing. Something does have to be done about it.

Eh, still in closed beta. You got time~
