0.9.9 Patch Notes
No Zoom! *SADFACE* was hoping ta get a closer look at the Gear I pickup, what it looks like on. But it does'nt seem this will be the case. Its really important to me as a player to be able to look at my character and see the detail put into the design of the item I'm wearing.
I'm not asking to change the play view but maybe when you view your stash, an auto zoom in to be able to see the the gear I'm wearing up close insted of afar. 0.9.9 *HAPPYFACE* looks pretty sweet.. |

Yeaaa. The Rhoa can charge again. I missed that.
Insanity is overrated unless you join me in mine.

"You're not "guaranteed" uniques either, and Kaom's Heart is necessary for any melee build without a shield to survive in Chaos. There's a reason items don't bind like in WoW - you are supposed to trade them. It's not that hard to "guarantee" a 6-link by paying someone orbs that are equal to its market value. |

Great we now have corner map!!!
This should allow me to play this game again. It would be great also if loot problem in party games will be addressed to. Separate loot for every player is only one solution for this problem. Personalized loot drops would be another one... | |
Fantastic GGG, thank you guys this looks to be a killer patch!
I'm the Ps guy: Psomm, Pso, Psong, pso-on and pso-phorth.

Silty, the problem with that is that there then becomes this artificial barrier to the joy of discovery. Decent six-link items don't drop. Ever. If you happen to get a six-link, it won't have decent stats. These things have to be built. If the game then becomes something where you simply farm orbs to purchase gear from other players... there isn't much joy in that. You get a sense of distance and disconnection from the accomplishment yourself.
I just think there should be a way for a player to either insure his item somehow against getting worse, or purchase at excessive cost something that won't degrade it. Like use the orb -> proposed new item -> dialogue box asking 'keep change? yes/no'. The orb gets used either way - you just don't have to take the change. That way, you can have a five-socket, roll 100+ times, and not end up with one socket. Realistically (in my opinion), you can have an almost infinite amount of good streaks on items and they pass unnoticed, but one really bad one runs the risk of permanently alienating the player out of sheer frustration and a sense of wasted time and resources. The player that walks away in disgust doesn't come back - their last memory is the worst memory of their entire experience, and in many ways defines it. Over a long enough period of time, almost every player will have one of those experiences. Not every one of them will be driven away, by any means, but I think an awful lot will be. |

" Just look at your hotkey icons for instant feedback on whether support gems work. Each skill icon gets a colored square with a letter for each relevant support gem linked to it. Your idea wouldn't really work since a support gem can be more than one link away from the active skill it modifies, with some irrelevant gems in between. |

As noted previously not only does this patch sound great but the fact that such detail went into describing the changes is outstanding.
Also as others said there are some outstanding issues that should be addressed to improve this game further. So here is a list of things that I feel should be discussed/changed. A trade system that makes sense.... not dropping your items on the ground and running over to pick it up. Minions and auras should not turn off when you change area's. Minions need portraits and numbers displayed. Minion AI is more than a bit lacking. Party panels should always show members. You could make it greyed out if they are not in your area or something. Also there should be an option to hide the party frame if desired. Party loot is also an issue. Short of going the D3 route of the loot you see is yours I don't see a way around this. The crafting system while extensive definitely has a horrible risk to it... I can spend DAYS getting the materials to improve my gear and end up with an item that was worse than when I started. Default chat channels would be nice. Skill descriptions need to be more specific. There are a metric ton of skills and passives to chose from and many descriptions remain to be vague as to what they effect. Some kind of visual link would be nice on support gems. But I'm not sure how that could be done with a support gem that is effecting a gem 3 links away.... Last edited by Nyctos42#0967 on May 8, 2012, 10:38:08 AM

" That was pretty much what I had to do for Kaom's Heart. The catch-22 was that my 2H Marauder couldn't farm Chaos nearly as well without it, and they only drop in Chaos. But Kaom's Heart is way more overpowered than a six-link - a six-link won't let you survive chaos with a 2-handed or dual wielding build. At best it might provide a slight bonus to offense or utility, since a 5-link will already have the best support gems in it. You're right that it's annoying, but I think it's fine because a six-link isn't necessary to enjoy game content. Kaom's Heart, on the other hand.. |
