Game Balance in Path of Exile: Expedition
the minion gem changes make no sense. it rewards (or doesnt affect) players that use minion builds that cant be targeted while just simply punishing any other minion build. especially when actual minion builds already have to invest lots of talent points and items into them to make them effective; whereas invul minion builds dont need to take the same approach.
it really just seems like you should instead just give all minions a 25% health malus instead of tying it to the gem if that's the intended design choice |

I wasnt going to comment on this out of touch excuse of threads of "why we nerf because we dont know better" But we will see, every manifesto or balance.. for a while has been a circus this is probably your top performance apparently since you're starting to nerf the shit out of the entire game without even touching monsters and bosses damage. The next months it's going to be nothing but nerfs because poe"2". Don't be a poe stan. Use your fucking brain.

Well, thanks, was just thinking about getting one more support pack, but yeah, i guess i'll pass. Like the maps will be unplayable, anything beyond white, curse maps? 100% status maps? Well, even Crit maps? It's a big no-no to me. Game should be hard with mechanics and stuff, not punishing for no reasons, and those, who's hyped should better learn the mechanics.

The game is getting bored because it is getting old and not much content change not because of game balance.
It's all rpg's problem. Yes change here and there a little bit, but basically it's same thing repetitively and people get burnt out eventually make them quit. The nerf everything to feel more challenge is somewhat interesting decision. This game is 8 years old. Some people invest their time and efforts in order to make game easier and to be better. Imagine what's going to be happen if all of those time investments and efforts taken out from the excuse of what? I feel like sometimes this people forgets we are their customers. I feel like sometimes I'm still playing a game which is made by few fresh kids out from college. Please those times are gone. If you keep making decision like this, you will lose most precious assets. us. |

so basically you nerfed all playable stuff and buffed all very situational stuff that no one in there right mind ever things of really using as mane skills or even a slight dps increase, killed all usable flasks that gave decent buffs for dps and survivabilitey and buffed resistance flask that no one ever uses bicoze everyone is resistance caped and maps at which point is becomes totally useless

Toning things down is one thing but nerfs like this with no balance to the MANY MANY MANY one shot mechanics they have added in the last couple of years is gonna make this ridiculous |

I really feel like these design choices were not actually thought out. For instance; minion builds can just choose to run multiple gems in their inventory and hot swap depending on the situation (boss or clearing maps etc). The implementation of these nerfs being tied to gems makes very little sense; especially when it only impacts builds that *cant* hotswap their build on the fly. Likewise; it doesnt even touch on builds that dont use that specific mechanic (like invulnerable minion builds).
It just really seems like this wasnt really thought out at all |
