Content Update 3.15.0 -- Path of Exile: Expedition

With all nerfs to Archmage my char with mirror-tier items is dealing 119,6M to Sirus A8 (b4 - 315,5M). Flask and support gems nerfs accounted, tree and %inc to mana cost from support gems not. Massive 2/3 DMG nerf.
Combine that with defense nerfs to Mana regen on tree, Dynamo, Arcane Surge, Fortify and Second Wind - MoM Lightning archetype is dead as meta-build.

RIP T4 Aisling craft.

The Surgeon's Flask Prefix can now roll on Diamond Flasks
- this is a buff

All unique flasks got nerfed as well, F.

I know GGG you want me to play totems or shield throw smth, but no ty.
Gonna do it the easy way: used b4 - looks unnerfed - will do :P

The most important part of 3.15:

Players will no longer purchase supporter packs (previously did)

I don't mind the nerfs, but one of our biggest complaints is how tedious some systems are (unveiling mods, Maven, Atlas progression, 99% worthless item drops, etc). We'll have to wait until the actual league comes out, but if we're gonna deal less damage, move slower and die more often, it might only make a lot of those systems feel a lot worse and you'll have a very frustrated player base on your hands.

+1

+1 they did nothing to compensate...

+1 from me, too, on this.
Do the nerfs have something todo with poe2?
Do the nerfs compensate the chinese clients and playerbase? Why are they separated - are they worser? IMHO not i saw some chinese builds guides and the game for them is easy: Pickup minions, deaths logs, builtin trade, builtin POB perhpas even more video were deleted after a while.

Can you explain why GGG/chris wilson or better the persons behind Chris, imho he is only the face but has no longer much influence on the game. Could this be?

Dear Exiles,

Please calm down and do not mald. Every Patchnotes people get afraid. But it turns out people find new Items and Skills that make your Enemies trivial. Don't whine about the gems that got nerfed, be happy they were overpowered at some point. They will rise again sooner or later.

With friendly Regards,

(also GGG keep doing what u think is good, worked out so far, some players need to relax a bit lol)

I play ssf standard, and some of previous nerfs ruin my build and scrap hundreds of hours my play time. I already have bad experiences, and i dont enjoy switching from one powerful build to another every "balance" patch.
Good luck!
I wonder what the statistics are for the average number of players in a new league at its start, in its middle, and at its end.

I'm a casual-yet-devoted player who usually gets a couple of characters to lvl 93-95, and at that point it's just grinding for completion and to get enough exalts to buy endgame-worthy gear. I usually last the entirety of a league. I tend to take my time and enjoy the feeling of building a a character and experiencing content more than the feeling of dominating or blasting thru maps for drops.

Some of my guildmates who are better (deeper knowledge, more efficient goal-oriented playstyles, leveraging meta) players than I and also maybe have more time to play, can finish almost all challenges by mid-league, and then stop playing for other games.

Are these 3.15 nerfs supposed to slow down gameplay enough that even really good players have to stick around for most of the league to do the stuff they normally do? Cuz I'm an above-average casual mostly-solo player, and by league end I still typically only have 28 challenges. I only managed to kill Sirus twice; I'm usually very close -- but the 6 portals are not enough for me. I never was able to kill Maven. I did uber Elder/Shaper once solo, maybe 3 times with help. I was never able to do Uber Atziri. Honestly, grinding for all the little pieces to even open portals to these Endgame Encounters already takes so much time and currency (which takes time to find or sell), it's really disheartening to know that even with access to good gear and optimal skill gems, I still couldn't do it, and now with all these nerfs, like, maybe I won't even get far enough to try.

The whole reason certain builds or ascendancies dominate as the most popular isn't because they automatically trivialize the hardest content in the game -- it's that they are the most efficient/optimal combinations of mechanics to even DO the hardest content in the game. And starting off going thru the campaign, sure, that can be slowed down and more difficult, like in the PoE2 gameplay previews... but the promise of leveling up is GETTING TO BE AWESOME. Why can't you let us be awesome, GGG? With all the great content you've created over the years, we now have PLENTY to do in the Epilogue. The Atlas alone keeps my attention, but I could just do Delve or Heist if I wanted to. But you nerf our damage without changing how Bosses (and especially the ones with environmental area stuff)can one-shot us from lag or unclear visual cues even if we're masterful players, you nerf evasion and elemental immunity, achieving max block, and making triggered skills cost mana, you make crafting as RNG as drops, and change build-defining uniques... and give us... Ward?

Nerf the hell out of my damage and defenses but give me back deterministic Harvest crafting! Make me pay for triggered skills, fine, but them give triggered skills more power! Make movement skills and flasks more conditional instead of default piano-fingers, fine! But then stop giving us "kill as many as fast as you can" content!

My guess is this league we'll go all-in on Ward. Maybe we'll layer base HP, Guard skills, Fortify, Aegis, and Ward and then next league you'll nerf Ward or make it incompatible with Aegis or Guard skills or something.

Salty tears taste the best. From what i'm reading, the servers should run just fine on day 1 now with so many people "leaving".
