3.23.2 Patch Notes

Game is no longer playable for me
My FPS & performance has dropped significantly since patch dropped.
I was running juiced deli maps with 4 abysses having great performance - occasionally laggy but what do you expect from 10000 monsters.
Since update whenever I encounter magic/rare mobs it seems that the wisps that are emitting from them are making my fps tank like crazy. On mac with M1 max 32gb ram.
Using caustic arrow which has insane effect and didn't have fps issues before. I've tried using all 3 different renderers - vulkan, dx11, dx12. All the same performance.

Just pretend your frame per second is frame time.
GGG does not disappoint.

Best it's ever been for me. The pre-patch to the league really garfed me. This patch is a savior.

i know "regular people" play the game, but it takes 5 seconds on google to figure out that clearing shaders will make the game "lag" until your cache of sorts will fix itself

and just for us "regular" people, how long should it take for the cache to "fix itself"? have ran 4 - 5 maps now to allow it time to rebuild and it is still a slide show when running into slightly large groups. everything was running smoothly before the patch and it's now pretty much unplayable after these enhancements

4-5 maps are not enough for all shaders to be rebuild. Furthermore, you will obviously feel that it is unplayable due to the previously mentioned, In my case I go to all the towns making stops of a couple of minutes, rotate through the acts, run parties or couple of maps, a couple of labs, it is a quite annoying session to do, but it guarantees me not having loading problems of shaders in my future gaming sessions.

And yes, in fact, it is a waste of time, tedious and unnecessary in a certain sense, but it is what has worked for me, but I would prefer if there was a button to do a complete rebuild of all the shaders. I still don't see the point in there being a shader rebuild for every map I enter, for every monster I face, for every new texture it renders, for every item drop, there is no pre-loading, everything is loaded the moment it is in front of you, rebuilding it shader, killing your gaming experience

I'm finally feeling that game runs as it should, 4070RTX and its 100+fps in 10k wisps deli winged JV, GG GGG, thanks! Currently on Vulkan, haven't tried D12.
huge drop in FPS/laggy, and just got my freeze
Any idea when the brightness on Xbox will go back to normal? Can’t see a thing at the moment except white

Just stop it. I'm playing on a 4080 with up-to-date threadripper cpu and 2x32gb ram, and I'm nowhere near the 100fps when abyss spires pop on a juiced deli map. You get the 100fps when sitting at your portal in a setup like that, but when shit hits the fan you'll be lucky to even run at 20fps. What you're saying is painting a completely wrong picture.

And, as always, a GGG patch makes the game run smoother for some people, and unplayable for others. It's constant bandaid fixes to an ancient code. But instead of optimizing performance, they add new graphical features (particle upgrade) which ramps the system requirements up even higher when it was already not great in high-end juiced maps. Plus making shaderload much worse, especially for people on low-end to mid-range systems running on DX11. It's a complete mess, and at this point it's obvious that GGG doesn't know how to properly fix it.
