Respectfully, shouldn't your priorities be elsewhere then? A loan for a PC and you can't afford the game after that, really? Each to their own but I don't know man. Oof.

You would be surprised by just how many people live literally paycheck to paycheck in less fortunate countries, and never have the opportunity to build any significant savings with their earning power.

I took a large loan just so I can upgrade my PC and play this game and now that it's out of my budget due to this Sudden Unexplained change, I am f*cked out of options as a Mininmum wage earner in Philippines and getting another loan will put me in the Red further than I can manage.

Another priviledged take. Also you didnt read it properly, I only "Upgraded" my already existing PC so I won't have performance problems with the game.

the Budget I had is planned down to the last cent. Is it my fault that the Salary on my country is so small that I had to go out of my way to get a loan just to afford stuff? let alone video games? Also who are you to tell me what my priorities should be at? are you my dad?

I prioritize my Mental health on entertainment so i can get away from the Daily hell of my 12 hour minimum paying job. Am I not allowed to enjoy myself and play an Awesome game? and now I'm suddenly barred from this game just because of what? Unexplained price increase on a 3rd world $12 Per Day pay country? When there are 1st and 2nd world countries with lower prices than ours?

That's F*cked up if you asked anyone.
I don't understand why some people are dead set on defending GGG.

1. The Regional pricing on Steam is a fact. If they didn't implement it in the first place, no one would have complained.

2. The fact that it was removed stealthily without an explanation means a lot of people that were planning to buy the packages are now very disappointed.

3. We are just asking for a confirmation from GGG whether this was a mistake or are they still considering adding other regions back for regional pricing.

Is that too much to ask for? If it is, then okay. I will adjust my expectations and reputation of GGG accordingly.

Pretty much everyone I've seen that says "You lost a loyal supporter" has no supporter packs purchased. Either you've only bought points for some reason or you vastly overestimate your financial power.

And then there are those who claim to have only, purely wanted to support GGG out of their kindness I guess, lol. You wanted to buy $60/$100 supporter pack with the regional pricing and now you can't. It's perfectly normal to want to get the most value out of your money but don't go around saying otherwise.

I fully support regional pricing.

Here's the issue you are not grasping. The main reason a lot of people may not have supported the game with packs in the past, is because there was no regional pricing for said packs, and the price points for people in some countries were too high to justify making that kind of purchase.

The regional pricing would have opened the door to a lot of players who wanted to support the game, but couldn't in good conscience because of the price point. Now suddenly those same players had a brief opportunity to finally support the game at a price they were more comfortable and happy with, and it was an exciting prospect. I myself have never bought a supporter pack, but I was quite happy to get the first level pack at the new price point and I would have been happy making a purchase like that every season because for the first time, the price point shifted into an area I was comfortable with.

The other point you're not considering is that even though GGG may have foregone regional pricing, other publishers have not, and so GGG has now positioned themselves at a higher price point in some regions relative to other games, which DO have regional pricing in those areas. Naturally, it becomes harder to justify paying a certain price point when other games are being sold in the same regions for much lower price points. Remember, GGG isn't launching PoE 2 in a vacuum, they are competing with other products at other price points, many of which have appropriate regional pricing (for example, I can buy last Epoch for basically half the price of the entry level early access for PoE 2).

Yes, when all is said and done, people can just play PoE 2 for free once it comes out in a few months time. Yes, they don't have to support the game, and yes, it's just cosmetics, etc. But some people do genuinely feel like they'd be willing to pay if the price point is right for their circumstances and their region. GGG has basically cut off a lot of potential support by not accounting for that disparity and by not taking the overall market into consideration.

Finally someone with a brain talking about the issue. Instead of yelling at people for being "poor".
An interesting point. This move could mean GGG is revising their market pricing. Potentially higher prices for their digital goods in the future.

Everyone increasing prices, right?
Bump, let's not forget GGG completely screwing over half its players.
Birthday ended and still no announcement how sad. Wish I have money to spare to join EA. =(

You need certain stash tabs to play the game efficiently. If they've been playing for years and couldn't spend $30, then their priority in life shouldn't be getting a supporter pack with regional pricing. Take someone that's been playing for 3 years for instance. Less than a dollar a month should be possible but sure... They just wanted to support™ the game, right?

I myself have never bought a supporter pack

In 11 years, you could've bought 1 without straining your budget.

I would have been happy making a purchase like that every season

You can buy a pack every other league or even once a year or once every 10 years but again, sure...

GGG must have missed that part. Good thing you reminded them.

GGG has basically cut off a lot of potential support.

Only GGG knows how many players are there from those regions and their customer behavior.

If they specifically changed some regions and didn't do so for others, then it would have to be intentional. You are free to speculate that as there wasn't much to be gained from those regions, if you want.
