Mighty Silverfist is...
I have to write something here because I'm having some kind of nervous breakdown.
Silverfist is a one shot boss, all right. I can't beat him now, that's okay. Maybe later. I respawn at the checkpoint, right at his feet? Ok, so I try to TP the town... one shot. Ok, I run away? No, I'm too slow, he one shot me anyway. Ok, so I run, I dodge, I run, etc... nope! I get surrounded by mobs... then I get one shot. It's like 15 free deaths just because I tried to escape a fight. The only way I've found to survive is to quit the game :( It's so frustrating! Last bumped on Jan 12, 2025, 2:25:46 PM

Not being troll, but if you stand in melee and just walk a clockwise circle around him you dodge 90% of his attacks. Or you just attack twice role, rinse repeat. Yes he one shots... bit if you have died 15 times trying to fight him your just not learning his mechanics/patterns

Yeah, I kinda stay in melee, dodge attack dodge attack. It worked fine until his second phase, when he just rolled on me, one shoting me again. So I decided to report the fight for a later moment.
I'm not complaining about its mechanics, I'm totally fine with it and the difficulty is not bothering me. => It's just the fact that I can't avoid the fight. I didn't say I died 15 times fighting him, but while trying to escape the fight to postpone it. Last edited by Sh4bang#6434 on Dec 14, 2024, 12:42:44 PM

Fun fact : after 3 hours, I wanted to log-in again. I was not brought back in town, but still at that boss...
Nothing is helping.... |

Hardcore character here.
Mighty Silverfist came rushing out of nowhere, slammed, and that was the end of that character (1k life, armor+evasion build). There was really no chance to act, if you didn't expect this to be coming. Back to the beach... |

The checkpoint for Mighty Silverfist is always bizarrely close to him and well within his aggro range, which is surprisingly massive. I've noticed that enemies seem to have a line of sight mechanic, so if you can put multiple trees between you and him while running away (and I hope you have some movement speed on your boots by this point or you'll be rolling home), it's easier to drop aggro and get clear.
I'm also not sure why you're having so much trouble, personally I find this guy rather easy to deal with once I figured out that the only attack that really seems difficult to dodge -- the big line/cone aoe slam -- doesn't get used much at all when you're on top of him, and the other wide swings he makes are easy to react to with a roll. What control scheme are you playing with? This guy is one of those that I feel is probably way easier if you're using WASD. |

You can lure this boss away from his spawning point, where it will stuck between trees. His long slam beam needs line of sight to connect, you can hit it across the trees while staying in cover.

You can skip the fight and return later.
But yeah, its a perfect example of how bad the one-shot mechanocs are. Dodge or die. If you dont go all out DPS you are going to have a bad time because eventually you will miss a dodge roll. |

" That has been my strat to almost every campaign boss and I was surprised how often it worked. Stand as close as possible and ------------ move in a circle around them! Oh no, they said their voice line for <Insert Close Proximity Attack>! I need to maybe run away. Oh no, they said their voice line for <Insert Ranged Attack>! Maybe I should move, again. This is coming from a dude playing builds that take 3-5 minutes to kill a boss. I'm 100% not zerging them down, either. Last edited by slobdog#2920 on Dec 15, 2024, 5:54:31 AM
