Mighty Silverfist is...
Just encountered this guy. Apparently I approached the area from the opposite side of the check point and missed a couple other, had to walk back around the entire map just to get killed again.
This fight should be nerfed big time IMO. |

The game needs a "Respawn in Town" option along with that "Respawn at Checkpoint" option if players get stuck with a boss like this camping their checkpoint.

That monkey need some finetuning. Just getting randomly oneshot walking in from the wrong direction or missing one dodge roll during campaign is silly.
As much as people seem to hate comparing PoE2 to PoE1... PoE1 had some oneshots during leveling up, well telegraphed and you had movement abilities to actually dodge them. Dominus slam and Malachai slam to name a couple. They had to wind up their attack, you had a voice queue and you could flame dash, frostblink or movespeed out of their abilities. Dodge roll feels super clunky and if you are facing even slightly in the wrong direction or have your mousecursor not in completely out of the monkey slam you are gone. Even if PoE2 is supposed to be more punishing and not a game for people with real life obligations, families and jobs. Having campaign elements that are kind of mandatory being skipped by most people and revisited at a MUCH higher level with a lot better gear seems like it could be designed in a better way. And like others have mentioned, the checkpoint should not be in aggro range of the monkey just like starting points in maps should not be in instant aggro range of monsters when zoning in. It is EA so the game is set to have a lot of adjustments over the next year. I am hoping that overtuned campaign bosses (and bugged ones like Titan) a long with the silly ascension system currently in the game are being looked at. I also hope that GGG take in to account that not everyone is playing a minion build or a high ES build with good gear while leveling. Evasion does not even work against slams so it´s a useless defensive mechanic versus most bosses and minibosses during the campaign. Armour is just bad. That leaves ES as the viable defense unless you never make any mistakes, never lag and never have any issues playing a "perfect game" every session. |

I'm also having problems with Silverfist in this way in Act 3 Cruel, which is weird because I had no issues in Normal. I really think this is an issue of poor level design more than anything. Any boss with a one-shot mechanic should be cordoned off in their own arena, not in the middle of the map with a checkpoint within aggro range and magic/rare mobs respawning all around the moment you mess up and die.

It gets even more hilarious when this asshole shows up as a map boss with drastically increased move and attack speed.
A lot of the long-range slam attacks are very overtuned at the moment and Silverfist's likely takes the cake for when he shows up. It feels like these attacks should be moderate damage with very high stun, making them still punishing but not one-shots for anything but very high ehp/mit builds. As mentioned, the most effective way to play a ranged character right now is to run around circles at melee range and just occasionally dodge out for a memorized mechanic, which is idiotic. And that's true for the entire game, not just this unique. It doesn't help that any form of minion (including things like totems and frost walls) can unpredictably steal targeting and make the long-range one-shot go wherever it pleases. |

" This, one-hundred times this. C'mon. This was infuriating. Stick this boss in an arena area or reduce their hostile radius. This is 100% death if you don't know to expect this one-shot coming at you from off-screen :\ |

Mighty Silverfist is a reality check. The game provides you with all the tools to overcome him by time you encounter him.

" The only tool needed is quite literally walking though. The slam is so slow you don't even need to dodge. Actually, dodging is the "hard mode" because if you do it too soon you are then slowed down and get hit :D |

It's literally "Hello, MF!" boss.
First three deaths were totally unexpected "bonks" from above |
