Are you satisfied with the new patch's response to Trials?

The patch should help the casuals but they are way too easy now for me.

If you are having trouble with sekhemas at this point there is no further nerfs that are needed, you just need to run chaos.
Is a good start but the trials are soooooooooooooooooo looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong i got my third ascendancy with trials of Sekhemas and by the half of the second trial i wanted to commit not livng, is just boring, there is no reason to do previously cleared floors just to be tidious af.
I wanted to start a monk then i remembered i have to do trials and i just play something else instead now, i cba to do those trials again

I am a ranged btw, the trials were easy but it just took forever... i cant imagine doing this as a melee and be like ah yes this is fine. Just the idea of a trial to be like 30-40 min is making me never wanting to create another character

If it was just one floor (the one you need to clear) i wouldnt mind doing them but as it stands is just a waste of time for no reason

Chaos one is better imho but the RNG is cray, some affixes do nothing while others are way too annoying

Tldr ,Sekhemas difficulty now is fine (at least as range) but the trials are just too long and braindead, gl not falling asleep during them and chaos is ok but rng is crazy

No, it's a terrible mechanic which promotes high dps and high clearspead builds and punishes everyone else, which is what PoE2 was supposed to avoid.
Patch is a first step, but only the first. Am I satisfied with the response? Dunno. Seems like a "We're not sure what we're going to do about it"-bandaid.

Heared ppl saying they take even more honour damage now. .. I dont play anymore until this crap is fixed or completely removed.

I'm in Cruel with my second char now.


I did two Trials on my main, which probably could do the third. I didn't have major problems doing any of the two (Sekhemas was first try, Chaos iirc third due to the stupid overtuned chicken).

I didn't do a Trial with my second char.
And I don't plan to until they are so braindead, my cat could do them.



Thats because they are stupid. Not especially hard or anything, just plain stupid and I hate them.

Are you happy with these changes? Personally, I think the honor mechanic should be completely removed. A range based 35% decrease for melee means nothing.

But perhaps the biggest, most obnoxious aspect of the trial, is needing to farm the entry items. I've done the trial twice on Cruel, and it has been about 20 hours of play since I've found an entry item.

I've pretty much stopped playing. I have no desire to continue the game if I'm going to have to farm for 40 hours to enter a trial that I will probably fail because of RNG.

Not tried the trial since the patch but seems like a step in the right direction but may need more.
However the comment on farming the access to the trial is spot on. I have after approx 30+ maps found my first and only 3rd ascendancy ‘token’.
The first 3 should be quested items at specific places within campaign (was how it worked before, and I fully expect the ‘this isn’t PoE1’ mob to jump on this) and the final one is what you need to farm and maybe only possible to drop in say tier 6 maps (how it used to work, same note as before lol).

No, the current system will be the main reason for not playing PoE2 on launch if it stays in the game.

The combination of how rare the drops are, the RNG that can instantly stop your run and the amount of time needed for basic character progression in combination with having to actually plan your build for the trials and then play whatever you wanted to play just to reduce the risk of bricking your run that took you 20 hours to farm a tablet for.
I was max honor at the start of the 4th trial and my honor got deleted by a mob from another map...

Today I try again and this is my second game crush....

Its already hard and not fun, on top of this bugged/crushed shitshow makes the game unbearable.

While DEVs having fun in their holidays with their families, I'm stuck here trying to finish my ascendency on a broken game which I paid real money for with all my spare time and more.
No, because they still exist as a form to ascend. Remove them and make a better way.
