CPU High Temperature and Game Shutting Down
I Solved the CPU Overheating Problem
I haven't checked it exactly, I'll check it in the evening after work; but I think it's causing the fps problem. The game probably uses the CPU more than the GPU. I'll share with you how I lowered the temperature, but check my system and keep in mind that the same values may not be applicable. Also, it's your responsibility to do so. Motherboard: MSI B650M Gaming Plus Wifi CPU: Ryzen 5 7600X GPU: 4070 ti Super 16Gb It's said that the 7600X gets a little hot. So I applied the same values by referencing the video below. Curve Optimizer Setting https://youtu.be/FaOYYHNGlLs?si=hWjRVTmzIiw3WUMD&t=130 Temperature Limit Determination https://youtu.be/FaOYYHNGlLs?si=P3as3jYKbfbJEXhD&t=260 PPT Limit https://youtu.be/FaOYYHNGlLs?si=HDmxU4qHDUnZv9NW&t=300 Here, the unnecessary voltage is basically reduced without affecting the performance much and an upper temperature limit is set for the processor from the bios settings. This probably lowers the voltage and keeps the temperature low. By adjusting the Curve Optimizer - All Core - Negative - 30 settings, it is aimed to use lower voltage while increasing the processor performance during use. What you need to pay attention to here is that even if your CPU is the same model, you may not be able to do this to Negative 30. It is said that this is related to the silicon quality, that is, the quality of the materials used in the processor, and it is claimed that this is completely luck. If you experience a crash on your computer when you do Negative 30, you need to try 25 - 20 - 15. After that, when you set the max temperature value to 85, you will get a good result. Right now, it increases to a maximum of 70-72 degrees on the loading screens. It also increases to a maximum of 65 degrees while playing. I must say that it is a great result. Now I think all these are causing the FPS drop. Since I am playing Infernalist Minion build, the screen is a bit crowded and even with this graphics card, I drop to 50 FPS during the battle. All settings are set to full. I lower them but it doesn't make much difference. The game definitely has some bugs that need to be fixed regarding the CPU. Because most streamers use 3rd party applications that regulate the processor cores so that the game doesn't crash during the loading screen. My opinion is that POE2 should get power from the GPU rather than the processor. GGG will fix this but it won't happen soon. Besides, it is obvious that the 7600X and 4070 Ti Super 16gb are causing a bottleneck. A better processor is needed. This is especially necessary for 1080P. When I have time, I will reset all BIOS settings and try again. If I see a minimum of 50 FPS, it means the settings I mentioned above worked perfectly. If I get a higher FPS, I will sacrifice some heat (maybe increase the fan speed) and make some fine tuning. |

when i checked, i saw that there was a +5 or +10 fps increase when the bios settings were default, i.e. when the cpu was at high power consumption.
So with the settings i made above, 60 degrees temperature and minimum 50 fps when the screen was brightest is a very good result. However, i must say that there are incompatible results with the 4070 ti Super 16Gb graphics card. GGG needs to fix this. Thanks. |

If PoE is making your PC sound like a vacuum cleaner, then its advisable to limit the max FPS from the options menu. 240 is nice but not necessary at all. 60-120 is fine and doesn't really limit your reaction times at all.

dont let them try gaslight you, it's the game issues. Running Warzone 2k high settings and temperatures doesnt go over 65℃ (7850x3d+3070ti+360 LianLi), meanwhile need to lower every settings in Poe2 because temperatures doesnt go lower 85℃

" There is definitely a problem. I was able to lower the temperature by making a few adjustments. |

" 155 FPS while playing or idle in the Hideout? I also get 155 FPS at full settings but idle. Since I play Skeltal Arsonist, there are times when it drops to 50 FPS while playing. 7600x 65 Celc 4070 ti super 50 Celc The interesting thing is that changing the settings does not cause any fps loss or gain. It is the same at low settings and at the highest settings. When I lower the settings, the image is distorted but the 50 FPS increases to 55, which is why I am not going to play a game with a muddy appearance. When I am not fighting on the map, I still see 120 FPS. |
