There is D4 for that. It exist for this exact reason. Do you want to spend all your energy changing PoE2 into D4 or accept the fact that PoE2 IS supposed to be attention-hungry ; meanwhile D4 is ultra-casual and punition-free ? Who is forcing you to play PoE2 over something more relaxing ?

So i got over 3k hours in poe 1, i know rookie numbers but i cleared all possible content in SC including all ubers and getting to 100 without running 5 ways or being boosted. Again, why not put the challange on an atlas tree and let people have both.This way you can chose if you want super sweaty maps or you just want to chill. again challange still exists because if you are using 6 portal defence you aint leveling which past 90 is a lot.
+1. They really need to put 6 portals back and remove exp penalty on death.

Please explain why poe 2 has to be even sweatier with all systems already resembling the ruthless from poe 1. Why are you going into extremes of "HUR DUR D4" Are you really telling me it becomes D4 if you revert to 6 portal gameplay or give players options to play 6 portal or 1 portal

Explain us why PoE2 should be a game playable without looking at the screen.


You are complaining about PoE2's difficulty and want it to be made easier (so much easier indeed you could play it even without looking at your screen ; your own words) ; but there is other ARPGs out there which are easy enough. PoE1/2 aren't supposed to be easy, never been. They always been the hardest and most punitive ARPGs in history following D2 core aspects of difficulty. So difficult indeed that most players don't even play the game and instead buy-through 90% of the game's content because they can't crack it by themselves (follow builds blindly, buy gear on trade, pay for carries for xp, and even RMT their way into the endgame).

Youre either intentionally twisting my words for the gotcha moment or you are not comprehanding what im saying. Those arent my words. This might be your new account but i doubt it, it doesnt seem like you played PoE1 much either so further discussion seems pointless at this point?

I finished all pinacle and uber content in poe1, im not asking for easier game.

WHAT IM SAYING IS PUNISHMENT IS TOO HARSH AND TURNS ME OFF FROM PLAYING POE 2, ITS AN ISSUE FOR ME AND MANY OTHER PEOPLE.

Example, I spent 40 min, setting up my maps and towers, got myself nicely rolled T15, with 4 towers boosting it, +2 to lvl. Went into the map got to the bell bird boss, it jumped down, instantly transitioned to p2 due to damage on the ground, i decided to have a look at what affixes it has. before i did i was dead because it had "fire trail" and when it walked past me, it killed me in that split second i was looking at the birds affixes. All effort gone for a split second lapse in focus.

What im proposing is not easier game. What im proposing is bring back 6 portals like in poe 1, and for people like you claim you are (altho your account does not indicate you like challanging content becasuse you havent done any of the pinacle content) have an option to add an atlas keystone passive that will turn your map into single death maps for extra rewards. That simple, we are both happy.

Currently on death in map you lose:
XP
Map
Setup of all tablets and towers
all map content
all bonus levels
boss.

If i have 6 maps and even died on boss, lock me out of it, its fine, same if you die during other map content lets say breach, this breach will close and you will have one less breach, you already lost hours worth of XP anyway. But all of it just feels like waste of my time for such a split second mistake, or dodge rolling in wrong direction. Im ok with 1 life trials etc. thats fine and same as it was in poe 1.

Yeah, 6 portals needs to be usable. Folks that want 1 portal should play hardcore. That game mode was made for them. They also should remove pause and log to character select while in combat. I don't understand why HC is essentially the same but now you need to add one "skill" key assigned to a logout macro.

This game needs to stop punishing players and start rewarding them. Maybe swap things around so that you can make a 1 portal waystone that buffs rewards if you are successful. Then people who want the extra challenge can do so.

Control was stripped from the player in all aspects of this game and it feels bad. You can't choose almost anything.

Exactly that, ok, i understand now you havent farmed much in those games before and therefore you are misunderstanding. But in poe 1 its fairly common to roll yourself 50-100 maps, get a movie, tv show or stream on the other screen and just blast through them with end game build. Im not saying dont pay attention to the main screen. And yes you will die now and then and you are risking losing xp if you arent lvl 100 but youre still going to finish the map. D2 which you brought up as an example was the same, i would have a movie on and do 1k meph, andy or pindle runs. So even the games you brought up as an example are very second screen tv show friendly once you have suitable gear because game wont be asking for your first borns soul for dying like poe2 seems to be.
