Exactly that, ok, i understand now you havent farmed much in those games before and therefore you are misunderstanding. But in poe 1 its fairly common to roll yourself 50-100 maps, get a movie, tv show or stream on the other screen and just blast through them with end game build. Im not saying dont pay attention to the main screen. And yes you will die now and then and you are risking losing xp if you arent lvl 100 but youre still going to finish the map. D2 which you brought up as an example was the same, i would have a movie on and do 1k meph, andy or pindle runs. So even the games you brought up as an example are very second screen tv show friendly once you have suitable gear because game wont be asking for your first borns soul for dying like poe2 seems to be.

And why should it be this kind of game where you don't even look at the screen and farm blindly ? It's not because you did it in the first that's it supposed to be that way in the second. It's only the way you played it ; not necessarly the way to play it.

I dont mean to insult your intelligence and risk ban but youre clinging onto single thing i gave as an example and conviniently ignoring 20 other things even tho i explained to you that you are missunderstanding what i said.

Side note: funny how when you used those games as examples and i rebattled with "well in those games you could do it too" you go "well it doesnt matter you could do it in those games".

Talking to you is just exhausing, youre not here to debate or find a solution you ignore 95% of what i said and cling to one thing you dont understand. Youre here for the zingers and gotchas. I also would question if you even got to maps yet or how many hours a day you play which i suspect isnt many and would explain why you dont understand the issue of being on edge and fully focused all day but i really dont want to talk to you anymore.

And it should be because player burnout is a real thing and if you intend to release a season of poe 1 and 2 every 2 months and intend on those people playing, having people playing on edge 24/7 that dont like this kind of stress and feeling like they just wasted hour of their time because of small mistake is a real thing. Also as i said MY SOLUTION ALLOWS YOU TO PLAY THAT WAY! YOU CAN HAVE BETTER REWARDS BY HAVING 1 PORTAL through atlas tree why are you so hell bent on it?
+1

Absolutely no reason not to.

Truly the Plato of our time. How are you not in the dev studio?
An altas tree fix is a very reasonable fix for the people who are not hardcore enough to play hardcore while giving 95% of us players that hate majority of these punishments systems to be able to enjoy cruisin around and having fun getting loot. :)

Devs: Sorry, doesn't go with our ideology of creating an hardcore like game in punishment with none of the upsides, only negatives.

I do hope the devs turn this around like now because the publicity on this game is going to burn all the good will the campaign built up. No amount of tutorialization will assist with these very prevalent in your face consequences.

I would be even happy to accept atlas passive that allows you use 6 portals so people who like curent state of things dont need to change, give me keystone that i can waste points on that gives me 6 deaths and lets say 10% quant and mf penality for every death in map. Just make it my choice and dont force me into 1 portal just because you feel like it, or go play ruthless or something idk

Not big on being underpaid, overtimes and crunch time sadly. Plus idea of putting up with industry thats very predatory by nature and has only handful 'gamers for gamers' studios like GGG. I have a degree in games dev tho :D Hard to tell if youre on board or sarcastic but i think its resonable, everyone walks away happy, people have choice.

Or maybe I have much more experience than you think and I understand perfectly the issue at hand and you refuse to even consider the benefits of having only one portal (and XP loss) because you just don't like the feeling of it ; especially when you can only compare -this- game to -others- game without accepting the rules and limitations -this- game impose, as it's asking the player to play in a certain way, differently and unlike the -other- games.

You want to play games that are braindead enough to be grinded blindfolded ? They exist. But right now you are trying to change a good game into -whatever- (something it's not) because you don't like its own rules, instead of bending yourself to it. Again, nobody is even forcing you to play it, so if you do, you have to accept it as it is, or else, you just inflict yourself pain and frustration for no single reasons.

Of course, feedback is always appreciated, but feedback also has to be accorded to the reality of the game. Right now, we have only one life in maps. Is the portal the issue, or the enemy damage, or the player's build, or the lack of gear, or the lack of skill, or the overjuicing stacking difficulty modifiers with maps, towers and such, or just the unbearable pain of suffering the consequences of one's action ? As you can see, there is many layers of reading the issue, and so far, I don't die that much in maps to find it being a problem that needs to be changed, I even find it good game design and creating meaning and challenge.
+1 dying to bugs is so awful, how's about they remove bugs that kill people and then bring back one death per map.

I was being serious. It was good insight on your end. A lot of users do a really good job at either baiting or posting their emotional feedback. Both important. I like seeing solutions that aren't "we don't like this system, so completely reinvent the entire structure" which no studio would ever consider in any situation even if the solution was theoretically the perfect solution.

They already spent 50k+ man hours making what they made. Doubt they'd throw that out. :^)
they won't
