Thanks. Yeah the problem is the HC part... I felt stuck for like 100 hours in maps, my character was wearing items from normal mode at lvl 80, and for that reason I'm not able to juice maps to 6 crazy affixes with a boss and ritual/breach. I have to choose a couple of those things that aren't too sketchy for my character.

I did actually die trying to juice my maps out of desperation. I knew I wasn't ready for that crap but I saw no alternative. I have a ranger in end game still but I lost all motivation to play when every thing I try to upgrade my character fails and wastes my time/resources.

Oh well ssf hc is punishing you’re basically alpha testing at this point.

For ssf hc your options are limited.

Farm gold to gamble, reroll a less gear dependent build or keep farming low level stuff.

Play long enough eventually you’ll get where you you need to be.

You could farm gold to gamble headhunter it just sounds boring but you signed up for the kick my teeth in experience so it’s really no surprise that your teeth are being kicked in.

Hmm. It is true on some level that I chose this. My issue though is their design decisions. They clearly want people to engage with these game modes as they always offer them, but then they always balance the game around farming 1000's of orbs/splinters instead of actually finding anything cool ever. If I can't hoard and trade those splinters/fragments or sell my bosses to people instead of running them myself (which I have no desire to do, hence SSF), and I try every possible crafting option available to me with no success, then that's when I start to get frustrated.

How long is long enough? I'm pretty sure I have many more hours than most people in poe2 already, clocking in at 340 hours and I haven't even played since I began this thread.

It's an early access end game for PoE2 that has you burned. Let the end game cook for a bit and come back, as it does in fact need changes, balance, and tuning.

Sir this is a currency simulator. If you want to play a game where you are actually rewarded with ITEMS for killing challenging enemies, I suggest you look elsewhere.

P.S. stream your gameplay 12+ hours a day. That might improve your drop chances.

Sigh... I think you are right. This has been a point of contention for me since I started playing poe1 back in the day. I really have no interest in a capitalism simulator whatsoever but am continuously tempted by the rest of the game (that is really amazing).

I have looked elsewhere and the best option is LE, which is great but also has a lame and unrewarding end game imo.

To be fair the Poe 2 game is basically copied LE.
