No matter how great the change, sadsacks will find the stick in the mud. "But what if..?!"
Suddenly, GGG are idiots who won't be able to design, or change, or update, or respond to issues that may crop up as we test it in early access. That's what you're saying right? No one took yer job, relax. Console loot filter for POE2 Please!

" They were already able to do that. But now, the difference is people can't post fake prices and not sell them in order to trick other new players in posting items up for a much lower price. No one can price fix via this method as their item will just be bought and resold themselves. [Removed by Support] Last edited by Ramon_GGG#0000 on Aug 24, 2025, 6:15:47 PM

In ZIggy's interview with both Jon & Mark a VERY sizable chunk of time has been allocated ..in fact a good 40+ minutes JUST talking about the new Trade mechanics.
I urge all to go and do yourself a favour by listening to it. https://youtu.be/xtEyX2GCwfU?t=4126&si=nmovpBQSTo7Ehx-9 On that note, someone mention about "price fixers". This shuts down price fixers because what is listed has to be committed. Obviously this works both ways...u eliminate fake prices, but it also could cause a listed item to be given a wrong price..however un-intended. God knows how many times i've listed the wrong BIN in the drop down because i wasn't paying attention or just clicking too fast. While the snow remains,

" Yeah, there's no way they'll just stick to throwing fake prices on hoards of items in "regular premium tabs" instead of moving forwards and putting them into the new "merchant premium tabs". quickedit: somehow, half a sentence didnt go through Last edited by wurro#1715 on Aug 25, 2025, 3:12:15 PM

TLDR for SKAIJUCE. When buying anything off the new trade system, you will have a gold fee. The fee is proportional to 1 map's worth of gold per rare armour. Furthermore, you can still do manual trade windows to avoid a gold fee, but I doubt it will be utilized very much.
I honestly wonder if they will continue supporting bulk item trades since the currency exchange will handle currency. |

Honestly, I really don’t understand all the complaints going around right now. Not long ago, we were the ones asking for changes with solid, valid reasons. We were the ones pointing out the flaws and demanding improvements. And now that we finally got a system that directly addresses the biggest pain point, instant trade availability and offline trade, instead of appreciating that, some people immediately start whining again.
This new system may not be flawless, but let’s be realistic: no system ever is at launch. What matters is that it solves the most crucial problem players have struggled with for years. Being able to trade instantly and even while offline is a game changer, something that countless players have been asking for. On top of that, adding a cooldown on removing items is actually a clever move against price fixing, which has always been one of the dirtiest issues in the market. And here’s another important reminder: the old system is still going to be there. Nobody is forcing anyone to give it up, so nothing is being taken away from you. We’re only gaining more options, and more flexibility. That’s why I think it’s way too early, and honestly quite unfair, to start throwing negativity before even trying it out. We should first experience it, test it thoroughly, and then give constructive feedback based on actual usage, not on assumptions or worst-case scenarios in our heads. Talking negatively without giving it a chance either shows impatience, or makes it look like there are other intentions behind the criticism. For me personally, I’m happy with what we have so far. It’s a step in the right direction. And like with every system, it can be polished and improved over time, but only if we approach it with fairness and support rather than blind negativity. So instead of being stuck in endless complaints, let’s try it out, see how it actually works in practice, and then discuss how it can be refined further. That’s the constructive approach, and that’s how we’ll get the best possible system in the long run. |
