Early Access League versus Standard, Why?

You are not alone! I feel you 100% man, I am in a similar situation as you, I was also playing POE1 on and off, I even posted a similar thread

Here is my take, I compeletly stopped playing as soon as i know there will be a wipe, I gave all my gear to a friend. I had my fun, I will consider the standard league launch date as "my POE2 launch date", heck i mean there will be 6 more classes and a lot more new things, doesnt that sound wonderful, hahaha, i come back to the forum from time to time to see when will standard be out.

Plus new MH will be out soon, I have something to do with my little spare time while I wait, slay a dragon or two...

In any case, I'll play EA League alone for the next 5 years. Got no time for do-overs.

It is essentially a wipe, your current EA characters will go to standard league when a POE2 league releases, standard is where all toons go to die and your mirror tier gears go to rot.

Then you do it again, for 3 mths. Then those toons go to standard, rinse and repeat.

Hope for GGG to change their minds, stop playing and wait for "full release," or play another game that isn't a live service are your options. Standard isn't the focus of GGG. Never has been.

I havent seen them say it would be voided anywhere. Feel free to link it because im fairly sure if they said they were going to make EA a VOID league then they wouldnt of got half the people they did.

Ive seen some people say they would make EA its own EA league which is even dumber than voiding it, 2 standard leagues before the game even launches ?
