What does poe2 do better than any other ARPG??
Act 1 of POE2 is one of the best things I have ever seen in an ARPG full stop. Sadly in its current state the game falls off from there. Acts 2 and 3 aren't necessarily bad by any means, but the just don't land the same way. Hopefully the remaining campaign picks up and is at least as good as the first act.
As for endgame, it was clearly rushed and haphazardly thrown together and feels like a completely different game than what was hyped for many years. We will see if they can turn things around before the global launch, but there are too many rough spots right now and a whole lot of missing pieces from the game. |

" I like Act 1 the most, but I think it mostly has to do with the "atmosphere". For example, a desert-themed Act is less interesting to me than the dark woods and a medieval manor. But Act 3? I think Act 3 would be incredible IF they reduce the size of most areas. From what I know - Act 4 and 5 look promising to be great, so that's nothing I worry about. |

" I have the same feeling as you about Act 3, some areas just go on and on forever and it takes away from the fun. Even with the added checkpoints it still feels like a walking simulator at times. You are forced to take movement skills because of it. I think the race exposed this aspect of the game. When everyone is using shield charge to get around the maps there is definitely a design problem. |

" The checkpoints changed literally nothing for me. I know every single area and map in the game well enough to path directly to what I need without backtracking, BUT if the "pathing" is a slog - it takes away the fun. It could be that I just dislike procedurally generated stuff. Well, not for maps because we run hundreds and thousands of them, but for the campaign. |

" ... my good sir. POE 2 is the most casual bullshit GGG has ever made. It's literally basically Diablo 4 to most of us POE players lol. This is watered down arcade diet lite POE. The dollar store version. POE 2 is essentially "babies first ARPG fisher price edition" Last edited by Rakie1337#5746 on Mar 5, 2025, 9:25:14 PM

" I think the current state of POE 2 is so hyper casual it's... it needs a full rework. This game is as casual/easy as diablo 4 to POE veterans. I was disheartened by how shockingly easy and overtuned everything was. On a difficulty scale I'd literally qualify POE 2 at like a 3/10 or less if you have any experience playing ARPG's, specifically POE 1. This game is far, far, far too casual/easy. I'm really hoping the 0.2 update gets the game in a better state. EDIT: Note -- I have played a long time. I put in serious hours. I know the fuck out of POE, and had a disgustingly easy time with POE 2 (i needed to get a new GPU for the game finally tho for some encounters to function) Last edited by Rakie1337#5746 on Mar 5, 2025, 9:18:31 PM

This game crashes more often and harder than any other ARPG or game I have played in YEARS.
3 months and still no official resolution. "BuT ItS Ea" lol ok. What other self-respecting development studio would allow their precious new game to fail this often? Watching streamers crash on twitch is a big oof... |

" I mean, it is literally EA... you know, the optimization of a game is the last thing before full release. Getting everything right with all the different shaders alone is a huge thing. A more unstable state of a game pre 1.0.0 is normal. Ppl act like we have here something like "Fallout 76" or "No Man's Sky" on release... |

" To many of us that's how this game feels. Trust me, none of us wanted to be disappointed... yet here we are, with GGG's "vision". |
