Memories: Way underutilized and could be one of best content systems in POE1
I wouldnt mind them improving and even creating new memories. Most of them is not worth to run at all so making them worth to use would be good bonus for poe.

Memories have become a break from doing whatever map farm you're doing to break up the monotony of everything.

" Exactly! Are they profitable? Perhaps not when compared to other options. But not everything just needs to be profitable. It can simply be an aside, with a chance for good stuff. This is especially true running memories with content that you are NOT specced into on your atlas. Everyone gets to a point where the vast majority of mechanics lose almost their entire value (including USAGE value). Memories are no different, they will never equal high end juiced content with a full atlas, but before that they can really hold their own in numerous ways. What would be truly cool though is if memories had unique map layouts associated with them too. Yeah they definitely need a rework, because my experience with atlas memories every single league without fail goes like this:
1: Check challenges, see what I have to do with atlas memories. 2: Buy exactly enough of them to complete that challenge. 3: Chain-open them in white t16 maps(unless the challenge specifies that they must have X% quant) or even in white maps by taking out all my voidstones. Because sometimes the challenge doesn't even require t16s and doesn't list a monster level, so you could literally start up a memory on your t1 map. 4: Rush to the bosses of each memory map,kill and portal out. 5: Never touch another atlas memory for the whole league and let them rot in my stash forever. Yeah they're boring,unrewarding and just need a complete overhaul. |

" Unrewarding only if you run them in white maps. Some of them are actually quite profitable for the little investment you have to put into them. I think the only useful change would be to make them drop more frequently in the mid - early endgame, cause while they're profitable at some point it's still more worth it to run juiced T16 or T17 once your character is viable to do so. But I mean, if someone puts their memories on white maps to "save" time, while running them on red maps takes pretty much the same time once you're at the point of rushing challenges, only to complain about them being unrewarding, that alone tells many stories lol Flames and madness. I think they were designed as a casuals way of seeing "juiced" content here and there. Not necessarily for a profit metric. Hence one or two out of the whole batch being profitable in the sense of a few divs just for the memory.

" Because even in t16s alched,chiseled and vaal orbed they still have 0 rewards. And the actual mechanics on most of them aren't fun, like I am not gonna run around a map walking over breach hands or open strongboxes in groups or whatever lmao Why do memories when I can do my normal strat with my atlas tree+scarabs+map modifier effect juicing up all my loot and packsize? They're just bad atm There's a reason only like 2 are worth divines and the rest are 5c. The only good ones are einhar harvest beasts cus they have OP crafts and for some weird reason the crystallized exiles in essences one(I have no clue why people want this memory so badly it seems like it would be so insanely hard to do and its just...a bunch of essences stacked on 1 monster??) |

" Obviously to farm essences???? They are not as hard as you think, but well you do need a more decent character to actually farm those maps profitable. 6 portal gaming or zhp/zdps ain't the way to go here. Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.
