There was an old PC game called The Summoning that allowed a player to dual wield, and it was awesome. I'd love this.
Imagine having two shields, each with a different Shield Charge gem with support gems that allowed for different attack styles - the right one supported with a couple life gain gems and the left one supported with added fire damage, etc. This would be pretty skill-intensive. I'm absolutely all for any change that allows for increased build diversity. |

most casters never use their wands for attacking any how so making dual shields would be an unnecessary buff for them.

I think the spiked shields only return the damage if you take any, not when you block. With two shields it would be less effective. But they should change this, it doesn't make much sense.

It might be a bit OP for a Necromantic Aegis using summoner.
