Dual wielding shields

Please GGG, make it work :c.

Wearing one shield gives you chance to block. Wearing two shields reduces any damage you can do, increases casting time, and slows your movement?

Does that sound fair?
The idea is to trade everything for extra defense and survivability. Sacrifice all damage doing for damage taking.

Turtle strategy cannot be defeat! And for that reason, it will not be included in this game. :C

You could code it so only the higher block chance take effects. I only want the stats on 2 shield :)

Edit: Or even better: shield on weapon slot have no block chance.
Even if the other defences on the shield didn't take effect as well, this is a bad solution because it causes a very unintutive situation where an item doesn't give you the bonuses it says it should. No-one would expect this to deny certain stats, they'd find out by trying and be disappointed in it.

Solution would be to make 1 handed shield with lower blockchance but a bit of damage and off hand shields like they are now.

Would look pretty retarded though but a fun troll build for sure.

I am looking forward to something else which i will post tomorrow, the idea is pretty epic :)
How about a unique shield that can be equipped in the main hand, but has no block chance? Or a keystone that allows dual-wielding shields for a cost of 50% block chance and something else? Make it hard to do, but possible, so it wouldn't become the default build for anybody.
There is a block-cap of 75% so I do not see the problem.

Yeah, it's quite literally Dark Souls in it's entirely - crappy frame rates included.

“In terms of the PC version, the quick answer is no, [we won't be fixing the frame rate problems]. Because we wanted to get the PC version out as soon as possible,” said the producer.

“It’s more strictly a port from the console version. We haven’t been able to step up into doing any specific optimisation for PC.”

This is why I am not excited for Dark Souls. I feel like they would have a much larger player base of the pc, if only they catered to pc players a bit more.
Kiwi Name = Sir Remington Kiwi; Duke of that tree over there.
I guess that none of you ever heard that phrase: "The attack is the best defense". :P
"The harder the game, the better."

If one man takes all the hits while another does all the damage it is perfect synergy

I'm necroing this up, because it deserves a bump!
