Beginner players need free identifies
As Mark said there are 3 of them in the beginnind. After that, i think Wisdom and Portal scrolls are too easy to get, i have too much of them in my stash, these items have no value at all.
Please make these items much more rare to drop, and make the needed scroll fragments for a scroll from 5 to 10. By doing this it would make general white items more purpose, ppl would start picking them up and sell for fragments to identify their better items. " Or they should drop other things in higher level. If the map drop rate is increased by level, we can reduce Wisdom by level as well. I also hope currency items can be auto picked up. I think either currency item contains no name (FFA), or it should be loot only the the player when he gets closer to it. |

another good idea is to have some one like Cain in D1/D2
that can ID the stuff you find when you bring them back to town |

" That is not true, at least not for me. When I play have episodes where I need to get more alteration orbs and a good way to do that is identifying magic items. While doing so I burn through my previously collected scrolls like nothing and have to trade portal scrolls into wisdom scrolls as well. Therefore I conclude that it is about how much stuff you pick up and identify --> it depends on your playstyle if you run out of scrolls or are collecting stack over stack. Making Scrolls "much more rare to drop" would hurt the flow of the game as players would need to collect more white items and teleport back into town more frequently - a mechanic that is neither interesting nor fun when it becomes too repetitive. I wouldn't mind a slight decrease but I also do not see a need for this change, but maybe the devs are on your side here, who knows :-). |

" I didn't said it should be as rare as GCP but in fact, my stash have at last 3 times more wisdom scrolls than i'm using up. If you don't increase the rarity make the fragment stack larger or a useful recipe with wisdom scrolls. To be honest, even if i could purchase currency from vendors without closing the trade window, i would use them up quickly by turning them to valuable orbs. I thought it's one of the priciples in the game. There is no money, so we have to trade magicals for orbs and white stuff for id-scrolls. Ok, forces you to the town quite often, but thats ok for me. I never ran out of scrolls during the open weekend.

" When you run end game maps with some rarity gear you run out of scrolls constantly, but transmutations sell for alot of wisdom scrolls and will help out. (usually by the time I run out again I have a new stack of transmutations to trade in for 4 stacka of wisdoms). I think it is in a good spot where you are low in the very beginning but then collect a steady stream which runns out again by the time you are rich enough to vendor for more. |

I think the starting three scrolls is fine. If you want more, there are plenty of white items to take back and trade on Twilight Strand and Terraces. I don't usually run out of scrolls on characters in new leagues, though I do consider what I identify carefully.

" That. And also consider hoarding smaller items (flasks, rings, amulets, belts, daggers, etc.) which net you more currency/scrolls per inventory space. |

so, no one is in favour of having a NPC in town to identify the items for you, like back then in the D1/D2 days?
