Blue Screen of Death with some sound cards
This problem and this " http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/15283/page/1 " combined with the fact that you DON'T tell players about these known issues BEFORE they start downloading your game forced me to deinstall your game.

Card
SoundBlaster X-fi fidelity Using format 24bit 44100Hz I mostly play the game on PS3 Headset but when i don't have headset in my room , i use my normal soundcard with speakers and i BSOD once with out the -softwareaudio and now i just BSOD with it . So i can say it doesn't work for me. is it --softwareaudio or -softwareaudio ? is there a way to add a specific line in here? [SOUND] dialogue_volume=64 music_volume=0 mute_in_background=true sound_effects_volume=33 Edit: I will try using --softwareaudio instead of -softwareaudio edit2 I did the regedit too Now will reboot I hope i won't get a BSOD now while playing my 1st HC Exile Cheerz. I thought it was "-softwareaudio" myself until I read your post. I was still bluescreening when changing zones with that added. I changed it to "--softwareaudio" and I haven't crashed since, hopefully it's working as a workaround now.

Got BSOD after around 30 minutes of playing the game with no apperent audio issues. Using a Creative Audigy 2 PCI, with the "daniel_k 4.5 support pack drivers".
I'll play using software audio for now. Here's the dump, if it's of any help.

Windows 7 64-bit
Creative X-fi Sound Card I've gotten multiple BSOD in my first day playing the game. The first two crashes seemed to be correlated to playing audio from an application (starting Ventrilo) or the browser (YouTube video) while the game was minimized. The other two BSOD were during general gameplay (no patterns so far..) This is definitely a deal breaker. I hope it gets patched soon. |

" Did you try the --softwareaudio switch as described in the first post in this thread? |
|
OK.
I've got a X-Fi Soundblaster in my machine. Before i kick off that game i will try to add "-softwareaudio". Hope this will stop having bluescreens. http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/15283/page/6 But another question... Should this game have Admin rights on Win7 ?
