Blue Screen of Death with some sound cards

Had a lot of bsods in the last few weeks, have an Audigy2 ZS PCI, and will try with the --softwareudio switch...

Wish me luck!

Edit: it seems to work! I finally made it into the ruins in Act2 and played straight for 2 hours with no problem, even the audio crackle tha happened every now and then disappeared... I'm enjoying the game again!

I' m getting application crash each time I'm trying to enter chamber of sins.
Nither --softwareaudio nor --nosound helps.
Have Realtek HD audio, Win-7 x86, russian version, so the crash info is in russian. if google translate does not help, I may switch windows language to english and give you the crash info again. I've marked exception code and offset, hope this helps

I want to report that when I first started playing, my game was unplayable. My computer would BSOD a few minutes after joining the game.

Fortunately, I found this thread pretty quickly. I have a Creative Soundblaster X-Fi Platinum. The "--softwareaudio" workaround has enabled me to play for several days with no crashing.

Unfortunately, that makes the audio absolutely shit...

For me I only play HC and I am now worried that it will BSOD while I am aggroed and I will die? What happens in that case do I just write the char off or is it taken care of by GGG?

Kind regards,
Delu

UPDATE : AFTER INSTALL LATEST CREATIVE SOUND DRIVER, NO MORE BSOD, I test and test and no more BSOD, so if you get alot BSOD, find your creative latest driver from creative driver website and uninstall the currently sound drive and install latest sound drive that you just download. It will pernantly fix your problem.

I'll take this an an April Fool's joke because the latest driver DOESN'T HELP AT ALL! Still BSOD in the same way. And the lazy or clueless devs continue to blame Creative when theirs is the only game I own out of hundreds that has this problem. Well, I've had enough. I've been hoping over the past couple of MONTHS that this issue would get fixed, but its obvious it never will.

Crappy software audio is not a solution. I'll be sticking with Diablo 3 and Torchlight 2. Nice try guys, but you blew it.
Love this game!! But would be nice to play it more than 10 mins. I have done everything you guys listed to help solve the issue. It hasn't worked. I really hope you guys figure it out soon.
