Creating PROGRAMS for PoE, What do people want?

I am not sure how you want to programmatically detect items (like the first idea with counts rarity drops or currency drops). The only thing you can search for is the color...Would be quite difficult to do that...

I am just coming back to this game after a 4 month layoff. I have supported the game financially but I found that I did not have the time to put in to learn as much as I needed to make a good char. then each patch made me even more frustrated!

A couple out of game programs would really help and let me spend some quality time with PoE imho.

There is Chrome Addon which enables a search function for the stash view on the poe website. Maybe there is a way to improve this Addon, so we can search all stashes and inventories at once....

Increased faster cast rate, auto aim, auto chicken, auto tp, flash hack, one that lets me access act 5 without the expansion pack.

That /oos and desynch checks would be awesome, even though I have no idea how that would work.

Mods for theory crafting and build testing are also awesome ideas.

Maybe something to highlight uniques, 5L and orbs on the mini map?

I would really love to have something that would allow me to compare builds and what stats certain builds give. Like for example it would tell me how much of certain stats I get from the builds (like 200% increased critical chance, +90 int or whatever) and if I compare two different builds it would then highlight the differences between them or maybe even give them in a list.

I think many of the in-game recording/reports ideas sound great. I wonder what the map data would bring but sounds neat to try it. The inventory tracker sounds cool. Assuming this replaces D3, the nerd demand for shareable drop info will be high.
I also liked the total passive skill benefit idea. Making this in a gui, I can do it... But I may not have a life for a while.
I could add some special out-of-game UI to this.


Addressing the modding, now I dont think I intend to alter gameplay. Game is too fresh. No mods needed I suppose. Also seems people dont like this. Good call guys and gals.

The out-of-game dps calculator, I had the same request for B2. But I find these programs... meh. It might be cool to see, but you are seeing something that isnt real. A few patches and the program may be obsolete. I like to measure performance and stats to increase my skill and see in what areas I must improve. I would make a report to see results well before the dps calculator. It make suck to say "hey I need to get the item first," but at least at that point it is a reality and not just a plan.

The one-all button, you can achieve this with plenty of programs already. And no it will not get you banned. However if you use it, I hope you macro it well. One button means you maybe locked in place casting. One bad press and hello death.


Keeps the ideas coming! Going to play more with programs in mind. So let's focus on helpful in-game or out-of-game tools.

you asking people for creating a software who assist people playing? doesnt that Count as a 3rd party program, stop this already Before you start talk about botting and other things, botting is so called "assisting remote" and you just talk about "assisting gameplay" means it does sound like you want to create something who give "unfair" advantage to people who use it.

Thats what a 3rd party program is.

I'd like to see a mod that changes the colours of skill gems, currency items etc.
This was something that got better with patches in D2.
