Why does everyone think this recipe is a global recipe when reading about the flavor text on a specific item?

Considering the name of the item, and the fact that the word orb is too obvious to me orb for a riddle, I suggest you start looking at gems that make a socket on the unique white.

The first line sounds like blood rage. Most likely a combo of 3 different colored gems

I dont think that it could be a combo of 3 skill gems. That would disbalance the price of skill gems. Keep in mind that skill gems are to be used in combat and orbs work as currency. That would make the price of specific gems prohibitive and those who just want to use those skill in combat wont be able to do that anymore.

Did a few tests:

TEST 1:
1st item - same type normal rarity one green socket;
2nd item - same type normal rarity one blue socket;
3rd item - same type normal rarity one red socket.
- No result.

TEST 2:
Same as TEST 1
added random green blue and red skill gems
- No result.

TEST 3:
Same as TEST 1
Added various orbs (except divine, eternal and mirror)
- No result.

TEST 4:
Same as TEST 2
Added various orbs (except divine, eternal and mirror)
- No result

TEST 5:
One normal item with random amount of sockets
Added various orbs (except divine, eternal and mirror)
- No results.

Whats more to test?
- Add divine and eternal orbs, mirror, rhoa feathers, do various combinations and numbers (have none of those)
- Try to do same tests with "Prismatic Eclipse, Twilight Blade" (Dont have one yet)

Thoughts:
- very likely that this is a hoax.

They mentioned wanting a gem sink. I think socket recipes would be a pretty good idea.

In the past, recipes have often included an orb of fusing/transmutation/whatever to act as a "binder".

It would also fit the 4 in the set, and if you think about it, what sort of sets of 4 are there in this game?

Sorry, i dont understand, what is "set of 4" you are talking about?

Also, if GGG was talking about skill gem sink, probably it should be random gems, not one or two specific gems (reasons mentioned in previous post). Yet, maybe i am wrong, it is possible that GGG doesnt care about breaking the price of one or two gems and other gems leaving intact.

Possible that if there is a recipe for white sockets it works only with that sword. Hope that someone who has that unique sword will make a few tests and post the results here.

Have the sword and tried it with a red/blue/green gem even a portal gem just in case needed a white gem too. Also threw in a fusing and tried a stack of 20 chromes. Haven't tried it yet but lunaris tears might be a healing flask or maybe a vitality gem since it says it filled the scars and what else heals.

The 2nd set of 4 is some garbage flask+augment+weapon to save some alts....

Maybe in the future there'll be a currency that has changes a random socket white.

But that future is not today. Shame.



Considering how powerful white sockets are, maybe max 1 white socket on an item. And you don't get to choose which socket gets turned white(And using it on an item with a white already changes which socket becomes white and the previous white gets rolled a new random color).
