So 4 recipes are still missing and we have a unique that would get boosted by white sockets from itself and with 1.0.2 they want to introduce even more recipes. I want to know them. =(

why bother? That sword is crap. Best you can do with it is 3 red sockets and it will still suck at lvl 53.

Personally, i dont see how white sockets would be imbalanced at all. It would enable a few builds that are otherwise things people dont want to do because they want something like say, a lightning coil (The unique chest) with all blue/nearly all blue sockets. Its possible, of course, but takes alot of chromes and is a huge annoyance.
Furthermore, since nobody has mentioned this in this thread; "Eight new vendor recipes have been added in two groups of four, including ones for changing which bandit quest reward you chose." ^Direct quote from the patch notes. Heavily implies the second set of four, are just that, a set, a group, they have something to do with each other. Im guessing you need three of the same item with the same sockets and links, just each purely colored. one with all blues, one with all reds, one with all greens, and then something like a fusing.
Thats just me guessing and applying some general logic to it though. HAIL SATAN!

I'm betting money there is a secret lvl akin to the cow lvl in Diablo. These guys loved Diablo... Feathers, something, something in the map cube?
