Poll: Monster life number display

Should numbers be shown on the monster life bars?

If enabled in the options

Seeing actual number of a monster's health is a good way to judge their strength. Smack the ones with only 500 health without a worry, but when you see someone with 500,000... osnap.

I think having some sort of indication of a monster's difficulty (aside from how they look) would be a good way to let the player prepare. Imagine if you accidentally visit a high-level area, see a harmless looking cow, but smack! You die in one hit. Not cool.
I'd like to see it in the options menu, depending on how it looks on-screen while active, I know many people would enjoy the ability to enable/disable the feature.

I think that there shouldn't be a possibility to see the (exact) monsters life...i just think the other way "Tsunemori" does.
It would make it too easy, taking the Challenge.
It's much more exciting getting worried if your opponent has only 1-5% life left - as you do xD ....are you able to beat him wihtout having the possibility to calculate the number of hits you need to kick its ass.

That's why it'd be best to have an option to enable/disable it imo, people who want to guess at it can disable the feature and those who want to know it can do so without requiring the aid of outside sites or third party programs.

This is a basic UI implementation and should not cause much of a trouble implementing it.
Some may like it, some may not.
To please everyone, Options > Gameplay > "Show exact monsters' heatlth" checkmark would be great.
(the poll results already proves that)
I think letting people see monster life as an option is good. Personally, I guess I prefer the default to have nothing there (just the life bar is enough for me).
This has got to be a preference Thing. In every game the more options the better cause more people can choose to play how they want that way. It's also a matter of what you're used to imo!
No numbers will increase the immersion factor and further solidify the cutthroat dark-tale feel of the game, imo.
i feel that numbers should not be added cause i do agree with the point of cutting the immersion factor. the health bar has always worked to cut down.

but then you think of games like borderlands where the numbers wre fairly enjoyable to watch laughing as that new magnum just got a 500 damage headshot.

so really i've ended up going with give me the option tho i probally won't turn it on but i skimmed the topic breifly and if there is an actual advanatage players can gain seeing the numbers and workning out the exact number crunching then don't have it in.

there is no fun in being beaten because you did'nt want to scutinise every detail that's nearly as bad as getting beaten by people who bought power

people worked out how to win in pvp without doing the math they should be put on the same footing as everyone else who did'nt wanna get a pen and paper and work out the statistical probability of success.

so yeah nerf numbers if it encourages people to get too anal about a game with a focus on hack and slash and grinding

I have not got a beta key yet, but have watched some videos, i think it should be a personal option in menu, when i play solo, sometimes i want nothing on screen. names,hp bars, damage done, ect. It kind of puts you into the game more i think. in other words more realistic.
