Do YOU Play "Single-Player Mode"?

Just finished beating Merciless Dom for the first time today. I only ever used self-found items. Only time I joined a party was to sell some Chromes for Chaos that I never used.

I agree, it would be a lot of fun to play in a solo/account bound league, or at least have a way to compare to other self-found people. Perhaps GGG could store a flag on each item of who first looted it and then to flag each character as being self-found or not based on having ever possessed an item from a different account/character. Then you could at least have a self-found ladder.

The thing I enjoy most about self-found is that it keeps the game being about finding loot. The currency system and crafting system runs circles around the traditional gold, but ultimately it seems to still wind up being a game of farming for currency so that you can go out and buy the perfect items.

I play 100% solo, self found no trading.

To be honest, I would LIKE to trade since I would like to exalt a few items I use (and have only ever found one), but one look at the trade chat and I have no freaking idea what's going on. This is the first online game I've ever played so no surprised there I guess.

I play mostly alone. Few good friends I have are or in other leagues or too powerful or too weak and we can seldom play.

Public games are often with too much noobs who will bail out on tougher map boss.

I am too casual and play to irregularly to find some guild.

Frenetic gameplay of team can be annoying sometimes, I like to have my own pace.

I play mostly solo, like 90% of the time, occasionally trade or group.

At first I played solo exclusively. Never traded.

Getting good gear drops is a lot more rewarding when playing solo self-found, but it sucks when you're playing, say, a summoner and get decent gear for every other build but yours - so I started trading for things I actually needed - and trying new builds that use those found items.

The only 6-link I've ever owned is a Tabula Rasa - which I traded for - and it made all the difference for my summoner. From 4-links to 6 was a huge boost for experimenting and fun.

Now I solo 85% or so of the time or so and trade for uniques that builds I'm playing need in order to really shine.

Depending on how strong my build/character is, the path to Docks can be SO tedious that I now usually join a group to get there or to just get the waypoint to level and farm solo for a while before doing quests.

As much as I like playing solo, I'll have to admit that playing all quests from Sarn to Docks with a good, friendly cooperative group is some of the best fun I've had in the game as long as me and my computer can keep up.

Now it's gotten so that I often progress through certain areas with a group if they're fun, then just farm solo. That still means soloing for about 85% of the time for me.

A "fun" group for me is one that sticks together, shares drops that help other builds in the party, and has at least some diversity (melee, ranged, spell). It's also fun to turn on an aura that no one else is using (often haste or a resistance helpful for the area) and see what a difference it makes for the group.

Always for SFL but meanwhile I attempt to trade in the spam fest, bitterly. Been soloing 98% of the time since CB. I had good friends once but they all moved on to other things due to(fuck the dead horse)Dsync, LIKE THAT'S NOTHING NEW AYE, GGG?

I find in parties everyone is in a hurry, I like to explore and take my time, also parties make it totally to easy.

Yes.

I do intent to go "self-found" in the next 4-month leagues.. It's a lot of fun but making a self-found league wouldn't be anything I would be fond of as I do play along with my friends from time to time and if I couldn't trade neat stuff we would find together there would be just as much good vibes between the guys as we play..

You could do a "No party" league but I doubt it would find a lot of succes in a 4 month duration imo..

For me, self-found is something to be proud of during all by yourself, I'll be that anyway once the new leagues arrives. I believe I will get a lot of fun doing this on HC, buying all the good gear from start on the chars just isn't as fun nor challenging..

(Self-found on HC isn't equal death if you put some thoughts into what you're doing)

I prefer to SOLO for the LOOT.
Party adds another layer of shitty RNG in the already heaping pile.
