Do YOU Play "Single-Player Mode"?
Yeah, solo all the time, buying only build enablers if I want to try something interesting, not selling, sometimes giving away stuff that's a waste to vendor to random people in global.
As for most solo players, my greatest wish is to get a self-found league with drops tailored for that... and world peace, of course. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

This game has multiplayer? :P

Yep. I do everything on my own except for occasionally buying things that are necessary for the build I want to play, and that I have no way of acquiring on my own. Like skill gems and uniques.
Never sold anything. |

One full year of solo playing, with a few trades (about 6), and grouping on rare occasions (like... twice) when I met a few friendly/educated people (which is not that common).
And I don't see Self-found league as a need, since I'm not trying to compete with others in parties... Probably due to my "advanced" age. I have enough competition IRL to bother with this in a ARPG. Contrary to most people, loot has been pretty food to me (once you understand the mechanics), my only concerns are socketing/linking loteries and desync, which I fear won't be solved soon. |

Honestly I kind of feel it might be a good idea make a purchasable single player version of the game(maybe $20-40) in which players have:
-infinite stash space -no max character limit -better drops and easier crafting -characters/gear all stored client side -pause functionality -modding is legal Make this client have no form of multiplayer(not even LAN). Gives all the people who have no desire for a multiplier driven game a way to support and enjoy the game(current microtransaction model only really makes sense in a multiplayer setting)- but at the same time mitigates the split in playerbase(initial cost and completely singleplayer, no even showing off gear to other players). Additionally being offline and completely distinct is the one condition I think can justify an easier ruleset as it removes any real ability to compare your gear/progression to players at large(so a player choosing an easier ruleset basically loses the ability to gain power in any medium that will affect or be noticed by other players). Could also pave the way for Talisman softcore IGN:disappointment

There is no benefit to being so selfish as to fail to acknowledge others' differing beliefs of what "should be" or believe your own opinions so supreme as to be factual and thus dismiss others' opinions as being somehow a lie or delusional.

I play solo up until piety merciless is dead, usually around lvl 62 or so.
Then I join some pub games farming exp from docks or something for a few quick level ups, start solo mapping around lvl 65, do those for a while then solo die lvl 69. Will take things a bit easier next league as its always my impatience that gets me killed, just hate running the same level over and over:( I don't buy any gear at all but I sell the occasional drop or gem to get some crafting orbs(which I then waste on low ilvl items) Maybe we can make a self found forum to post items and compare epeens. Could set some rules which people are free to sign up to and follow(free to abuse and lie also, that's life) Last edited by Mammatus#4838 on Feb 26, 2014, 9:31:35 PM

" Yeah this happened to me today...frigging doorbell. I could have gone to town but that would risk the instance expiring (and it would have) and losing the map. In hindsight, would have rather lost the map than the experience. Is the eternal lab part of the map instance because the portals are there? I don't think so...perhaps it should be, allowing me to portal there if I need to take a break but still being in the same instance. |
