Your League ideas

Heres a idea that popped up on my head. How about a "league", well... this is maybe more of a game mode but here it goes.

How about, just a example; if you are in a party of 4 players, one of these players are being turned into a ingame boss. The remaining 3 players have to kill said player/boss.

I have mixed feelings about this myself. Just thought I'd get it out there and see what you guys think about it

If you have doubts about it being a full league, which it really isn't, then it's probably best to put it in Suggestions or something.

However, it's an idea I've wanted to see somewhere for quite a while. It seems like it has a good amount of potential. Something I'm not sure of, though, is if it still would be balanced with it being player controlled compared to computer controlled.

Heres my idea for a league if there are clans. It could have a name like Clan dominance or something.
Basics
-Full open pvp in the world (besides towns)
-Hardcore mode if you die start over.
-No private games
-The game is to have 4 clan members complete the game from start to finish of the last act. the hard part being that from Difficulty level 1 to 4 you can only have 1 other clan member in your games. On the final Difficulty level you could have a maximum of 3 Members in one game.

I think it would cause some unique game play maybe i dunno what do you guys think?

I think the one you described first is a hardcore cut-throat league. We'll likely support non-hardcore cut-throat leagues also (where you lose your equipped items but not the character).

Right, I thought Cut-throat was mandatorily hardcore.

That would be the hardcore cut-throat league I described then. It is good you are supporting both modes.

I thought of an idea which will either be immediately be shot down or someone might actually see something in this idea (I'm not too sure which one I would go for myself). How about, instead of aiming to kill the most creatures or something similar, you have a time limit to get to a certain level but you also have to do it in as little kills as possible therefore, you will need to try to kill the strongest creatures you are able to kill for your level. this way you will need to think about each kill and sometimes plan both ahead and immediately at the same time. this can also go the opposite way in the sense of that you could need to get to a certain level in as many kills as possible. the amount of kills could either affect your time, the amount of experience you get goes down (or up) depending on the amount of kills or it could just be first to a certain level wins but the more/less kills you performed alters your prize.

How bout having a team attrition where there is one of every class? Seperate idea: I'm thinking a game mode like COD's zombies where it is in waves. It could work with different amount of people and a max of 6 (one DIFFERENT character for each player) where items drops drop for the TEAM not the player. Therefore, item and resources need to be shared strategically in order to do good. Experience is shared and is set per wave. Also, each kill gives you X amount of gold which can be used to buy items from an adjacent seller. This could lead to strategies that involve one guy who gets kills and buys items for others, etc. etc. Lots of details can really put a lot of strategy and thinking into this wave league. Also, this is a sort of mini game so it would allow people with only less than an hour to play this over accomplishing practically nothing in magic finding or moving on in the story. I usually want to spend more than 45 min to those things.

Not sure if it was already posted, but..
Team league. Players assemble into teams at the start, and are bound to play with each other to the very end. That would be a great experience. Ranking the teams and maybe making the game more difficult would make it necessary to really work together.
