Raider is not bad. But in the Essence ladder 75-80 of SC players among top 200 are Pathfinder, 4 are Deadeye and there is not a single Raider. I think most of the Pathfinders play BV. However the numbers may ring a bell about which ascendancy is the most popular. :)

Typically it does not end well for a class who receive such attention (RIP D3 perma freeze Wizard). Some "balancing" (a.k.a nerf) may be on its way by the end of league for Pathfinder but that seems to be the most preferred asc. atm.

Raider presumably designed to offer more offense than Pathfinder and more defense than Deadeye. But I feel it is not easy to justify Raider over the alternatives in the current state of game.

Pathfinder player are surely BV. I really can't decide which Asc to take now... Raider looks great on paper but I'm pretty bad at deciding what is good. It's really tempting to try Raider but Chain and +1 projectile from Deadeye seems like the smart choice I guess...

I play phys crit bow on Pathfinder, no BV, just classical Tornado Shot.
Shaper and Guardians are down easily... Just need using Kaom instead( u can do it on 500hp kaom if no legacy one) of evasion armor, poorly no guides advise this...

Harbringers with less DPS are going for 2EX, non linked. Should I save for Harbringer or am I fine with my Glare?

Weird I have the opposite problem. Whenever I try la I feel so much slower than tornado shot.

I am clearing t15-t16's mobs in 2-3 shots pretty easily.

Yeah I just made some adjustment it's not that bad. I just hate the fact that I can't aim close to me with TS :|

Ive made a sort of version of this build with Ice shot for HC, can check my profile for more spesific information what ive done

But im wondering about the damage conversion to Lighting, the build doesnt scale elemental damage in nodes at all, is it still a better solution on a 5link to go PTL rather then PPAD? I tried PPAD over PTL and felt much worse, but im struggling with the mechanics of scaling on mechanical understanding level. It feels very bizarre to turn all my physical damage to elemental damage but not get any elemental damage nodes in the tree.

If someone could open the entire topic of damage conversion and how elemental damage and physical damage should be scaled, id appreciate it.

I have a CoC iceshot. did alot of research, etc into iceshot as well, when building it.

wed is definitely best. PTL is very solid, but consider the aoe cold is 100% phys conversion to cold. with ptl, its 150% conversion=100%cold/50%lit=77%cold/33%lit iirc. meaningless without any specific elmental damage buff, but may impact dps with fangs of frost, or Quality herald of ice.
Fangs of frost/forces of nature are obviously super good for you.

The big deal, is Pathfinder. I love pathfinder, I have been very vocal about that.. And you have master alch, for 40% inc elem damage, and immune+20% status. however, deadeye smashes Pathfinder for Iceshot.
Ricochet and endless munitions are irreplacable for iceshot.
The free chain will allow iceshot to shotgun for greater effect. Farshot carried over chains. And endless munitions will give +1 arrows for more shotgunning, and +aoe SIZE for easier shotgunning.
you can pull the god awful chain out of the 5l. And run just about anything else. Hypo, cold pen, Fa, pierce, fork, ppad.

You've only spent 4 ascendancy.. I would honestly recommend swapping.

I run HoI/HoT/Purity of ice on my coc iceshot. hatred is admittedly more raw dps. But, the heralds give more aoe, and purity gives easy mode reflect maps.
(Ideal is 20%HoI+HoT+Enchance for 36% qual HoI/HoT. Quality giving 27% inc cold, and lit damage.)
