Atziri's Acuity nerf is not a NEW MECHANIC or Double Standard!

I have a feeling this might take awhile. Il check back in later, goodluck everybody.

Why cant people agree with this.

Because you don't know a thing about programming. And programming is the only thing that matters here, not your perception.

This has nothing to do with game programming. It's a simple numerical value change and item description. It's basic Mathematics. Something you evidently cannot grasp.

You can't change a value that doesn't exist though :)
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

The modifier already existed:

Read the patch notes... Chris specifically said it:

"Atziri's Acuity: The modifier that makes leech apply instantly on critical strikes now has it apply instantly at 60% effectiveness. Existing versions of this item are affected by this change."

The modifier that makes. That is past tense, a modifier already existed! Now that modifier had it's effectiveness changed from 100%, to 60%. It's really not that hard to grasp bud.

Strictly speaking, you aren't wrong when you see the change as a 'simple decrease in numbers'. That's a valid enough interpretation.

But speaking in mathematical and programming terms, the value of the 100% leech rate didn't exist originally. There wasn't a *leech rate value at all. It's something new and added.

BTW, 'The modifier that makes' isn't past tense; it's simple present.

The modifier never had '100% leech effectiveness' coded into it, so that numerical value didn't exist and thus couldn't be changed. It's not about the existence of the modifier, it's about the leech effectiveness which is brand new on the item.

We told you already, there was no explicit modifier, the 100% leech rate was merely a consequence of the mod made in such a way. Therefore no modifier could be changed. So if they wanted to change the modifier to 60%, they had to introduce it explicitly, by making a new mod.
Simple? To us it is, but maybe you have some inhibitions.

Total Leeched = Damage x Leech % x Crit('1')
Total Leeched = Acuity Leech Effectivness * Damage x Leech % x Crit('1')

with Crit('1') beeing 1 if crit, 0 otherwise.

So the reason why there isnt any legacy here is quite obvious, except for retarded people.

Now I see you're only debating whether it's a new modifier or not. Does that mean you finally understand how the mod works, after we've relentlessly tried to explain it to you?
You make my ochinchin go doki doki.
