No difference in performance im going as high 300fps to as low as 14 fps if action is intense.
1980x1080 produces similer results.If v-sync is on its 60fps down to 15 fps.No improvements.

No idea what just happened but seem it started working 60-120fps now the lowest ive seen 48 fps....weird.

Fps is more stable in combat, no difference otherwise.
( tested with flicker strike 10 aps + melee splash + extra gore)

but this difference in combat is insane ;)
I like it.

Because fps doesnt drop to 50 or lass, and is always superior to 60, i disabled in game vsync and forced FASTsync in the nvidia drivers
http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/nvidia_geforce_gtx_1080_review,4.html
for a fast sync explanation

This beta PATCH IS AWESOME. Best PoE experience ever.

To complete what i said before:

With v-sync off, fps rarely drops below 60 in combat, the fluidity is much much better than before. Very few fps drop, and i usually get 111 - 167 -250 fps while maping. Amazing.
The whooooooole experience is totally new and fresh.

If you have V sync on, you will not feel the difference.
And With V sync off, the screen tearing will burn yours eyes.

So in fact, the best experience with this patch can only be achieved with nvidia Fast sync ... I usually hate nvidia but... the result is here so... i'm happy. (or free sync/ gsync monitor, i dont have one)

Before the patch, the fps drop didnt allow a smooth experience.

No lag input, no bugs, no fps drop, no screen tearing...
Nice work GGG, that's the best PoE experience i ever had, even if i use a nvidia feature to use this new patch at it's maximum potential ;p

I can use my good hardware on this game with decent result and fluidity. finally.
I will never be good but always I try to improve.

maybe a bug in the SLI driver setup with PoE, have you tried to desactivate the sli?
or it could be your resolution, i believe it's DSR scaling, ( or a crazy monitor and i want it :P) with such high RES, you are overloading the memory bus of the 970 cards. When it happens, the FPS drop. Or something similar, it's the idea. Can you try in lower resolution? 2880? and 1920?

I will never be good but always I try to improve.

Deactivating Sli seems to have solved the issue now its stable 70-90fps on 4k no matter how intense the action is all maxed out.Thank you.
This whole time POE was only using 1 cpu....wha????????????????????????????????????????
Gaming Laptop Feedback

Laptop Model: Asus G75VW-BBK5
OS: Windows 7 64 bit
Processor: Intel i7 3610QM
RAM: 8GB DDR3 1600mhz
Video card: Nvidia GTX 660M (driver version 368.81)
Disk Drive: 1TB 7400 RPM

Feedback: Runs like a dream as far as I can tell. None of the stuttering issues here that I experienced on my Desktop gaming computer. Frame rates stable when in Town and when in Hideout. Ran around on Dry Lake some and had a lot of items + enemies on the screen and FPS drop was minimal. Nvidia Vsync (60mhz) enabled.

well yeah, a lot of directX 9.0C games are mono thread, because directX 9 sucks at handling multi threaded stuff for most of it's features. It requires a lot of work in the engines of games to support multi threading and multi core optimizations with dx9.

Dx 9 is very old, and not very efficient

But windows xp is still used a lot, it only supports directX 9 and lower.
So even games like witcher 3 and guildwars 2 use directx 9 for maximum compatibility, tho the witcher 3 engine is optimized for multi threading. However it's extremely hard to do and a very long process. Time is money, skill is money.

Also, path of exile is 32 Bit! again for maximum compatibility with differents OS.
It uses a remapping memory allocation trick for 64 bits. ( to use more ram on 64 bits os)

The virtual address space is extended to 4GB. If you don't use the Address Windowing Extension API, the maximum amount of memory you can access is 4GB in total. Some of that space will be taken up by the OS for .dlls and other such things, but it will be possible for you to get memory back that uses all 32-bits of a pointer. - by a dude on a forum

To complete what he said, even the GDDRAM of the graphic card counts in thoses 4GB!
So 3 GB of graphic card ram is useless with windows XP ;) the highest recommended amount is 2gb (because the os will not use it completely)

https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/32-bit-vs-64-bit-how-it-relates-to-video-cards.91260/.

This is a limitation of direct x 9.0c

A 64 bit variant, if optimized and properly coded, could be faster and use an almost unlimited amount of ram. (need to be coded properly because of memory fragmentation)

PoE is following the good path.

OS: Windows 10 Home
CPU: Intel i7 6700K
MOBO: Asus Maximus Hero VIII
RAM: 32GB
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7870
Maxed Settings, Screen Shake and V-Sync Off

Crashed a few times while running a Fakener build into packs as small as 4.
EA build is crashing the game with this setting ON, rest of the builds I have tested are OK

Deactivating Sli seems to have solved the issue now its stable 70-90fps on 4k no matter how intense the action is all maxed out.Thank you

My pleasure, Sli/crossfire and PoE have a long story of problems because nvidia and amd shall make compatibility fixes for ALL games. Of course PoE is not a blockbuster and is low priority = it will never happen.

Also i dont know if the society has to pay a tax or a license for SLI/crossfire support but it wouldnt surprise me ;)

You could try to use a compatibility fix used in other games, a generic one, to see if it works with PoE. You will need the program Nvidia inspector. By googling SLI profile compatibility and nvidia inspector, you could find a solution.
