If you deal 200 chaos damage and get 30% increased chaos damage (200 * 1.3 = 260) it's still better than getting another 50 chaos damage on your gear. Conversely, if you do 50 chaos damage, getting a 100% increase isn't nearly as good as getting another 80 flat chaos damage (100 vs 130). There isn't a simple answer to your question. The best choice is one that combines both. Percentage scales flat damage the best, but you need a good dose of flat damage or your scaling nothing. So neither comes out better, or worse. From my calculations the %chaos damage on rings is alot stronger than the flat added crafted from elreon, in all cases usually. that is, if you have a high lvl (19+) added chaos gem, and a reach or an opus. for example with my gear, 30% increased chaos damage would be about 3 times as good as the crafted added chaos. and the pierce nodes are great because 100%pierce is great for lighting arrow AoE clear, and with drillneck that 100% pierce becomes 100% increased projectile damage, which also applies to poison, so they are the strongest damage nodes you can get RIP King of the Forest view-thread/1738625	Posted by cmphx#5486 on Nov 4, 2016, 2:41:39 AM Quote this Post
I spent 100 orbs regrest to make this building ... and I do not regret anything !! Thanks for sharing it with us. This build is very good, but it is necessary that the player is skillful ....... not worth for anyone and you have to know how to play. By the way, you can tell that essence is needed for crafting rings / amulet and its price on the market? (Screaming essence of envy??) So I'm currently looking to improve this, but it's expensive to get one good and capping the resists at the same time (and also have +life).
