So I am a bit of a new player, and I am struggling with getting some of the key pieces of gear. Mostly the 6L Unique and the Vessel of Vinktar (w/ either adds lightning to attacks or penetration to resist). When I look on poe.trade I can never find a vessel with the right properties, and any 6L Destiny Leather is in the 450+ chaos range. So I guess my question is, how am I to progress here? Is there something I am missing?

Hello fellow wanders, I didn't want to post here this question since i usually figured out the answer but, getting essentially stuck on guardians and lacking some damage i really don't know what to upgrade except farming the enchant. My current gear is this.
I'd really appreciate some suggestions on what would be best for the next upgrades. Sincerely, Melpolene |

As a follow up to my previous post, is there a better way to level gems than just spamming the highest level maps I can get my hands on? Because the empower/enhance gems are still at level 1 and i've been doing quite a lot of maps over the past few days.
Also, as far as mana regen goes, I can't sustain spamming Kinetic Blast when I have both Herald of Ice and Wrath active. Do I just need to get more flat mana or mana regen? Or should I swap to Herald of thunder? Last edited by Doomninja#2732 on Sep 2, 2017, 12:24:41 PM

" Is there anyone that can answer my previous question. I wanna buy 1 wand(have 3 in mind, none of them cheap) but I dont know which one to pick because im not sure which is more important(total dps or average dmg) . |
|
" Total DPS. Average damage doesn't take attack speed into account so you can have a wand that delivers really big blows but is very slow and as long as you don't one-shot everything in the game you will definitely go with the one that delivers the most damage per second. IGN Standard: HolyPatman

" One answer for both these question. The master Haku will sometimes sell items that have the affix "increases quality of sockets support gems". Empower and enlighten gain more Exp with quality, so buy weapon with affix, socket gems, and put in weapon swap. Your mana problems are being caused by you using these gems in your main setup without them being leveled. If you look at the empower gem you will see it has a 125% mana multiplier. This is making you go from 75% mana reserved to 87%, which just isn't sustainable. This is where the enlighten comes in as it get's a "negative" mana multiplier as it levels. Whenever you can manage a lvl 4 enlighten you can get down to 80% mana reserved, I'm making it work right now with lvl 2 at 85% but I do run dry for a second every once in a while. As for your previous post about expensive gear that's the progression of the game. In some cases it's not getting a new piece but improving an existing one, like you have a 4 link Queen next get a 5 link then 6 link. Each link will increase your dps 35-50%. You can either save up and buy them or get the "true" experience of the game and try and socket and link yourself. Just buy a second Queen for cheap, normally like 2-3c and Then you can work on turning it into a 6 link without trashing you clear speed by running out of fuses after hitting a 2 link. This is actually how this build is starter friendly, that the base uniques are cheap but then everything can be upgraded in some way to increase the power of the build. |

As far as getting the 6L Destiny Leather is concerned, should I be using the artisans bench? Or a better question, what is the best way to go about getting my spare one 6L with the correct colors? Or as close as I can get to correct with the amount of resources I have.
Second off, I feel like I am struggling to farm chaos orbs in order to buy things such as the dying sun flask. I can easily clear T10/11 maps (bosses take some doing but everything else dies in an instant). Should I be buying maps that I don't get so I can further increase my atlas%? Or does it make that much of a difference and I should just do every map I get regardless of tier? |

" There are different methods you can use. The simplest is you just spam jeweler's until 6 socket, spam fuses until 6 linked, and spam chromes until colored. However since we want 5 "off colors" this isn't the best way. Here is my how I did it at league start, note this requires you have Vorici lvl 6. Take your Queen to the bench and put 3 sockets in it. Then use the 3 blues color option. Now increase it to 4 sockets. If you get a blue or red great, if not change it back to 3 sockets. You will notice when you change it back the 3 blues remain, this is how you progress it to correct colors. get your last 1 blue and 1 red by increasing the sockets and going back down 1 until you get the right 4 blue 1 red at 5 sockets. Then do the 6 sockets, this is the only real expensive one at 350 jewelers, and there is a high chance you get green first shot. Now you just need to link it. Linking can be a much discussed topic on what is best. GGG says your chance to 6 link is about 1:1500 which is the same as the cost for Vorici to do it. Players claim it's more like 1:1000-1:1200. Either way most people like to just gamble on fuse spam and hope for magic. Most are pleased and some have horror story's about needing 5000 fuses. Personally I've linked everything I've used in my short PoE career myself at maybe 500-600 fuses at worst, I prob just jinxed myself for a 5k one on my next. Tip if you didn't know you can convert Jewelers to fuses at a rate of 4:1 at any vendor past act 2 I think. That conversion rate is pretty close to market rate so it's worth doing. You should get a pretty good supply of jewelers from vendoring 6 socket items that drop. As for making Chaos most of it will come from trading not getting drops. Simplest trade just convert all your other currency to chaos at market rates. You can also do the Chaos recipe on trash rares you find. Non trash rares in simplest terms are anything with high life, 60+ for rings 70+ for everything else, and either 60%+ total resists or 2-3 damage stats. For maps look up a atlas shaping guide on youtube but if you've already run a bunch of t10-t11 maps you are screwed for now without spending a lot of chaos you could use to get stronger. Just run whatever you can do fast, skip the boss if you aren't doing it for atlas completion the first time. Alchemy all maps and run them unless you just can't, the only map mods you need to look for in this build are: reflect elemental damage (possible but needs some skill and flask management, hint use a topaz flask), player can't leech, and players can't regen mana can be a little annoying. Pickup all currency items that aren't scrolls, 6 socket items, jewelery, and rares that might be worth something or for chaos recipe if you want to do that. |
