I am a little confused guys, can someone enlighten me? So after I beat Kosis two days ago he dropped Malachai's Mark which I thought to be an item from his loottable. Turns out it isn't. It's an age old unique that I've just never seen before and I can see why, it's pretty useless. So apparently he does not have a specific loottable like any other endgame boss? Or he has no guaranteed drop? I killed Omniphobia in Simulacrum twice and he dropped 'Voices' and 'Assailum' and is no where near as hard as Kosis was for me. I realise that there are builds out there that can one shot him but for me as a normal player in SSF he felt like a legitimate endgame boss and one hell of a challenge. Beating him (at least in my first encounter ever) felt like a real accomplishment yet basically not getting any real reward (the unique I got might have been part of the wave loottable I was playing for all I know) is so disappointing. I mean I know Breachlords for example don't always drop one of their items which I find to be a questionable decision, since Breachstone's aren't super easy to come by unless of course you play trade league but than you would just buy the item right away. Isn't that not the core principle of an ARPG? Beating a tough boss that you can only encounter every like 30 hours or so of game time and get a sweet unique reward off of him? Why does this principle is in place for bosses like Atziri, Shaper, (Uber)Elder, Sirus, etc but for so many others it isn't?
So my main question is why do I have to have an epic 20 min. fight with this dude and than basically get nothing yet Atziri that I could play one handed and half asleep drops her (very solid) flask like every single time? |

" What kind of advice are you looking for? An essence of dread can give you the same mod with other stats. +2 by itself isn't that great. The only thing you can do is aug for something good if you feel lucky then regal. But it would be pointless. Best to either use an essence of Dread that gives you +2 and the potential of other stats or Fossil craft the bow for whatever build you want to do? You want to build a spell build? + to gems? Metallic + Prismatic + Corroded = good chance to get +1 to all skill gems in bow, then you can craft on +2 to supported gems and make a BV bow or spell bow. Or you can essence of dread spam and get something better for Caustic Arrow or Ele hit. Or you can use Jagged fossils to get a high phys roll and do some sort of conversion attack. It's up to you. Posting a general 6L bow and asking "now what?" is a pretty open-ended usless question imo. | |
" The specific Delirium bosses do not have a guaranteed drop nor their own specific loot table. Delirium bosses (omniphobia or kosis) share the same loot table, but it isn't guaranteed. The only "guaranteed drop" is in the Simulacrum that guarantees 1 and only 1 unique from Delirium. Bosses have a chance to spawn starting at wave 10. IF you drop a unique (gloves, chest, boots, helm) prior to the bosses showing up then you basically are out of luck for any boss drop unique (i.e. jewels) within that same Simulacrum run. If you do not get a unique from waves 1-10 of the Sim, you can continue until you do get one (hopefully a jewel from a boss). " Thank you for the explanation. I feel like there is a massive inbalance between effort and reward here. Whats the point of continuing on after Omniphobia drops the helm, other than generic league reward explotions? I mean I don't even mind that too much. I just feel like it's pretty cheap to beat a tough boss that has an advanced mechanic to be rewarded with absolutely nothing, that in my opinion is contrary to any logic of how ARPG's work. I know this is the wrong place to complain about that but that actually has me shocked a little bit. I can't believe they thought that would be fun but I guess Kosis isn't challenging to most trade league players at all so maybe I shouldn't expect anything to be balanced around SSF anymore. |

I want a One With Nothing so bad now. Edit: I just slapped together what I'd be able to do with a Raider in PoB. I'm lookin at it thinking "Sweet, 380 thousand, that should be pretty nice." It's 3.8 million, just all the time, as a Frenzy raider with 15 APS, so it'd also feel friggen incredible. I need this so bad. Need a new signature, cuz name change. I dunno though.
